Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is directed by Wes Ball (the “Maze Runner” trilogy) and stars Owen Teague (“IT”), Freya Allan (“The Witcher”), Kevin Durand (“Locke & Key”), Peter Macon (“Shameless”), and William H. Macy (“Fargo”). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”) and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (“Avatar: The Way of Water”) and Patrick Aison (“Prey”), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr., p.g.a. (“The Maze Runner”), Rick Jaffa, p.g.a., Amanda Silver, p.g.a., Jason Reed, p.g.a. (“Mulan”), with Peter Chernin (the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy) and Jenno Topping (“Ford v. Ferrari”) serving as executive producers.

2:00 I love how they’re surprised about the fact she can talk since humans went mute do to the virus, it’s a similar reaction to when Humans found out apes could talk
-
if caesar saw what proximus did to the apes his heart would break all over again, first time it broke was when koba betrayed him and that event haunted him for the rest of his days

I can't believe more than 55 years later this is still on the top of 'gotta see' movies. I remember in 1968 @ 7 years old when I seen the original and was in shock for a week.

To think that this all started when Ceaser attacked a neighbor who was threatening Will's father and bit the neighbor's finger afterwards. 😅
-
The energy of Cesar wafts through the film.
-
I love Noa and Raka's expressions when they heard Mae speak for the first time 😂
-
Such an underrated saga that deserves more recognition than it gets.
-
Absolutely! I can't believe it's been 7 years since the last sequel. Caesar, Maurice, and "Bad Ape." 🥰

This movie looks incredible! The motion capture technology used in this franchise is legendary.
-
This might be the only franchise Hollywood hasn’t destroyed yet while rebooting it.
-
I’m utterly impressed how they’ve gone back to back to back to back films and produced masterpieces every single time

When he said bow for your king, there should have been a silence, and then he raised and screams, “Noooooo” Good callback to the Rise

Just got home from the cinema can still feel the adrenaline 😅 .. This film is absolutely world class, beginning to end. The new direction is brilliant and with the introduction of Noa as the new ape lead, this film holds up with the first trilogy. The CGI and overall motion picture is just a different level compared to the first three. Caesar lore running through the whole of this film and you can feel his prescence throughout. Opening scene is also just 😮💨 a great opening tribute to Caesar! All in all, outstanding 🤝🏽👏🏽
