  • When I read about the Troyan war, in Greek, I read that it happened somewhere near 1800 B.C. There are also many evidence of many people existence in Greek Mythology Sure he wasn't immortal or a son of a sea goddes but he was definitely real.
  • May not be much in support of Achilles being real, yet his Mirmidons most probably were: John Malalas wrote in VI century about Trojan War: "And Achilles departed with Artidies, an army that was of 3000 who were called Mirmidons at that times are called Bulgarians today" [SOURCE: Op. Cit, 0122, Corpus Scriptorium historiae byzantinae, Bonn, P. 97] Michael Attaleiates or Attaliates (c. 1022–1080) was a Byzantine public servant and historian active in Constantinople, wrote in his book "History" "... the Moesians are certainly Bulgarians who later received new name Bulgarians...Bulgarians are Myrmidons". It pretty much means he was of Thracian origin.

I choose to believe he existed. There’s more proof for Achilles than there is Jesus.
