The Moon and Antarctica is still my favorite album of all time and pretty sure it always will be. I feel like it just captures all my feelings/emotions.

Jeremiah's drumming is so incredible on this one. Just the perfect balance of sounds and patterns to compliment the song.

I remember getting this album when I was a freshman in high-school and it changed my life, it was just one of those albums I felt different after I listened to it straight through and I'd play it over and over on repeat and this song especially. There's a cool story behind this album too, love it, still obsessed with Modest Mouse.
  • Are you kidding me I walked in the woods listening to this song and thought wow life is fucking weird. Fuck yeah bro I'm not drunk at all.

  • ... the last second of your life They're gonna show you how How they run this show They run it into the ground In the last second of life They're gonna show you how They run this show Sure, run it into the ground In the last second of life They're gonna show you how And the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our lives down to this planet Earth And the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our minds down to this planet Earth Everyone wants a double feature They wanna be their own damn teacher And how all the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our lives down to this planet Earth It's all about moderate climates You gotta be cold and be hot, for sure And it's all about the moderate climates You wanna be blessed and be cursed, for sure And the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our lives down to this planet Earth And the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our lives down to this planet Earth Everyone wants a double feature They wanna be their own damn teacher And how all the stars are projectors, yeah Projectin' our minds down to this planet Earth You've got the harder part You've got the kinder heart, and it's true I've got the easy part I've got the harder heart, ain't that true? Well, right wing, left wing, chicken wing It's built on findin' the easier ways through God is a woman and the woman is An animal, that animal's man, and that's you Was there a need for creation? That was hidden in a math equation, and that's this Where do circles begin? Where do circles begin? Credit: Songwriters: Eric Judy / Vivian Green / Buddy Brock Sung by Modest Mouse

  • “ On the last second of life they show you how , they always ran this show , ran us all back into the ground .”

Carry sick grooves, no matter where you ended up after this brief experience. Everyone will think of your music, while you're gone. Rest in sick ass drum riffs, Jeremiah

Of all of the music i listened to in the 90s, nothing aged quite like MM. Great back then, even better now.
  • @jpisfinnisjp
And only Isaac Brock weaving this dark literary spacescape and then out of nowhere drop:... right-wing left-wing chicken wing which in itself means two things
  • I wish I could say this was the best song on the album, I love it so much but its really a rock solid album through and through every song's the best song on the album. HAHAHA I will forever love this band!!
