Thanks to everyone who participated in our little quiz. I hope you enjoy this rendition. It's the only cover of this song featuring a significant drum part. It might be a sacrilege for some but I like it :) Thanks to Helen Stewart for providing a lovely vocal part. If you want to hear more from Helen, this is for you: :yt: https://youtu.be/dT49iLW-k54
  • I'm 70 years old and grew up with this song and I knew this drummer is bloody awesome so I knew I was in for a treat...and I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely loved the singing to. The youth have not let us oldies down. Well done everyone 👍👍👍

Having lived in Montreal for decades, I have walked by the spots mentioned in this song. Thank you for a most unique version, Leonard would be proud.
  • Odd little song performed with expert precision - Sina I love the Snare-Rattle during the last verse - watching the drumstick producing that rattle in perfect time is what I enjoy most - watching percussive tricks that add so much to a song while seeming a bit weird - Great video Sina!❤🎸✌🔥🥁🎹🎤
  • To enjoy this, one must forget about Leonard's original performance. That's still about love, but more related to "Downstream," or "Neytiri" with a strong print from Sina and Mike styles. I love very much the combination when they work together. Another brick in the Chi Might wall. Thank you all for taking us once more to the river and the boat. Cheers🌞🌞🌞

This is emotional for me in a few ways. I'm a native of Montreal. I have always loved the song. A friend, Lou, was Leonard's keyboard player for years until the end. Years ago, he also played with Blood, Sweat and Tears, which may interest Sina's jazz mind. He is a producer. He wrote a fabulous piece about leaving Leonard's home in a Montreal neighbourhood for what turned out to be the last time. It was 6:30 in the morning. Leonard came down onto the sidewalk (pavement for the Brits). Lou's last view through the back window of the taxi was Leonard standing waving, wearing his hat. Sina's drum interp is fabulous.

Spectacular!! Only Mike and Sina could pull this off so extraordinarily, and with Helen's Beautiful vocals I'm in Heaven!!!🎶💖🎵
  • I have not heard this song for more than 50 years. Good on Sina for her discovery…

Well that was different, and in a good way. Back in the day I would never have put a drum pattern to that song, or any of his stuff as I found it music to slash your wrists by, Sina, you did a great job with this.
  • What better way to bring people together today to celebrate Make Music Day, than to listen and enjoy a "true original" song from Sina, Mike and Helen. For 60+ years no musician dared add anything to 'Suzanne', until now that is, a drum cover was unthinkable but nobody told Sina and Mike that. This was a big ask but you found a way to do it successfully. The more upfront guitars and drums together with Helen's voice gives the song a fresh vibrancy. Different but I like it.
  • It's a beautiful and well done story song I loved it. ❤️🇺🇸🙏🕊✝️🕊🙏🇺🇸❤️
  • I would never have thought Leonard Cohen could ever be improved with percussion - awesome beat and beautifully sung too. Leonard Cohen was one of my mother's and step-father's favourite artists - hearing this took me back years. Thankyou.
  • Sina has the gift of turning a good song into something even better with his drums. That's only for the greats. Helen has a beautiful voice. Bravo to both of them and Mike too. 👍👍🏆🏆🥇🥇👏👏👏👏
  • These covers are so unique and original, just love the style behind it. It had Sina’s signature and lovely diversity. Very pleasant ☺️
