  • Please stop flooding the comments about Donna from Suits & Meryl's daughter. We all saw it! (04:38) Sarah Rafferty as Liz from Calvin Klein (Donna in Suits) (10:52) Andy at Starbucks & cameo with Mamie Gummer (Meryl Streep's Daughter).
  • The editor deserves an Oscar for this movie. Most of these scenes were absolutely unnecessary and not worth adding to the film. A really good editor can recognise that and the final result is absolutely perfect.

These deleted scenes just show how rich and prolific the writers were. What a fabulous amount of character development.

That Calvin Klein deleted scene shows Miranda giving Andy some tips on who to connect and avoid to get the job done, sharing enough information to help her with the task. I think the producers decided to cut this scene because they wanted to introduce Miranda as stern and cold at the beginning. This scene showed some side mentoring from Miranda to Andy, a bit of sympathy shared since Andy was new.

Some movies are great ... but you only watch them once. Other movies are great ... and you can watch then dozens of times over. The Devil wears Prada is such a movie. I have watched it about 20 times over.

I LOVE THE ELEVATOR SCENE. I ran into Anna Wintour on an elevator, and honestly none of us were intimidated. I love her, but this is effing NYC. If we are running late, screw you we are all getting on the elevator.

I feel sorry for those extras/supporting actors who didn't make it to the final movie 😕
  • @Titanicdork133
Miranda mouthing thank you would have ruined the entire movie
  • Stanley Tucci is such an incredible actor. You forget its even him

Nah 4:50 should have been left in, “no get away from her she’s useless” it kills me 😂 I’ve always thought just that one scene should have been left in as it demonstrated Miranda well early on in the film and is hilariously catt
  • I love Anne Hathaway so much. She can be a princess, a comic relief, and a clumsy average country girl at the same time
  • I wish they had kept the scene with Andy struggling to decide what to wear (and unhappily choosing the blue sweater). It would have shown her struggle with making style decisions and made her progress seem more like growth.

I liked the CK scene and the car driver scene where she learns they can use corporate cars and not subway. CK scene shows Mirandas personality and car scene explains how she was slowly getting used to good life and it changed her.
  • I'm glad these clips ended up on the cutting room floor. A lot of them are quite distracting from the main plot and posed contradictions to some of the characters. However, if we are making a TV series, all of these clips are essential.

“Emily, Emily, watch my head spin” should’ve been in the movie 😅
  • @Mistydayze
These scenes didn’t help me to dislike the boyfriend any less
  • This feels like I’m watching the Devil Wears Prada from Earth 2.

The interview with HR actually lends Andy some credit when it comes to being woefully under-prepared for the interview with Miranda. Also the "well it's this or auto-universe" line feels less bratty with it. Also the scene at the Gala where Andy smooths over the situation between Miranda's husband and Herb actually helps make the whole situation with her friends even more toxic.

Even in these deleted clips, the boyfriend was really quite the a-hole, wasn't he?
