Keith Morrison (Bill Hader) gets a little too much pleasure investigating a brutal murder in The Mystery of the Chopped Up Guy, which isn't really a mystery since the killer confessed, but the show needs to fill an hour. [Season 37, 2011]

"Because it's Dateline, there's only one photo to use." No recovery from that roast

“I saw a birthday clown that just floated.” Oh did you Richie?

The stories don't add up. Elroy says he hacked the guy to death, but the coroner said he was bludgeoned and the girlfriend said he used an axe. I smell a conspiracy.

Bill Hader’s crush on Keith Morrison is my favorite thing
  • “When I was 4 years old I saw a birthday clown drown in a pool. He just floated.” That clip aged beautifully, Bill is now in IT Chapter 2

“I must paint you” is actually one of the funniest moments on SNL in the last decade

This hits differently when you know how obsessed Bill is with true crime 🤣

who else would watch a 10-minute video of Bill Hader and Steve Buscemi agreeing with each other

This is spot on. Keith Morrison gives off the strangest vibe. Hardest thing to explain or impersonate. And that's why Bill is genius. The last joke about him seeing a drowned clown as a child got the weirdest reaction. Audience was either too creeped out or too confused. But it's actually a pretty brilliantly hillarious and almost plausable explanation of Keith Morrisons odd creepy demeanor on that show.
