I prefer Genuine Naples Yellow - to each his / her own. Also, I would try that same experiment with Michael Harding Cremize (sp?) white as well. Titanium white flattens out colours too much for me. Creminze white isn't as opaque so you would come up with different looking results. Thanks for the upload and happy painting : )
  • Hi Netsaosa, congratulations for the videos, could you tell me which brands of Naples Yellow are the most opaque if I were to buy these colors

Thanks for this video Netsaosa! I think both are useful in diferent ways, perhaps for me the cheaper WN one would be best because I would add NYL in my palette to act more like a warm white with low chroma rather then a more saturated version if it. I have yellows and reds in my palette just for that, but that's me. Have you tested to see if the WN NYL (cheaper) has the same tinting strenght as their regular titanium white? It should, since its PW6+yellow+orange, but it's always helpful to test and see. I have their TW in my studio and i'm quite happy with it and I interested in their NYL to act as a warm white, but only if it behaves the same as their TW (opacity, tinting strenght, etc). Thanks
