Begging that people actually watch the Pistons, it actually gives SO much context lmao. Him somehow managing to be top 10 in assists per game in the NBA with this roster is nothing short of a miracle. And one thing I see way too much in NBA discourse are people who abuse advanced stats and just mindlessly listing them off without showing tape or listing tangible strengths and weaknesses. The only scenario advanced stats should be used is when it is coupled with things you can only learn by watching film. And I know the guy doesn't watch the Pistons. And its fine, nobody WANTS to or SHOULD be obligated to watch them, it's legalized torture watching them consistently, but if you're gonna talk about them you HAVE to watch them. Saying Cade doesn't have any strengths, or saying "what does he do" is ridiculous. Beyond the very basic stats of him being top 10 in assists per game and him being top 10 in makes and percentages in the mid-range (min 200 atts), hes an even better creator than advertised. His advantage creation is seriously among the best in the NBA, the amount of help he attracts and how well he is at making plays off it becomes even more impressive considering the talent (or lack thereof) surrounding him. Advantage creation as a whole is great at telling who is, or can be a star. Luka is the greatest advantage creator in the NBA for instance, Embiid, SGA, Jokic, Giannis, every star you can name in the NBA are elite advantage creators in one way or another. So the notion of Cade "not being a great creator" is dumb no matter how you look at it.

Sure the turnovers were pretty bad but he showed growth later in the year cutting them down significantly and he had an overall efficient season! Its different when a player chucks up shots at an inefficient clip like Stackhouse, Cade was being asked to carry the load of an entire team all the while improving his efficiency
