Ever wonder how you can run a business for just 2 months out of the year and still make millions of dollars?! Well you can, and those businesses are called "pop-ups." Seasonal pop-up shops are big business, and today we're going to talk about just how much some of these retailers make, what they're doing right, and how we can copy from their homework.
People love pop-ups because they give us a chance to experience novelty, like a farmer's markets or tentpole event (movie tie-ins & promotions), while the events themselves have a built-in scarcity because you know these businesses are temporary. Think the McDonald's McRib.
Halloween is a $10 billion dollar industry, and love 'em or hate 'em, Spirit Halloween has mastered the art of the pop-up. So what's their secret? Rather than paying $500k or more to load out a store, they've found out how to do it cheap, quick and effectively so they can move their product out almost as fast as they move it in. I break down how they do it in this video.

What are you going to be for Halloween !? Also just wanted to say I love your content! YouTube randomly played an episode of you on Impact Theory and I got hooked! I find you fascinating and I love the way your brain works. I am incredibly interested in starting to buy businesses. I understand sellers financing and how it works. What I don’t have a clue in is how to start managing a business when I never owned one. Are there any resources ( books, video’s, events) that you would highly recommend for a beginner that wants to start and is willing to take any risk, just need to understand the basic business models and how to run them. 🙏
