How could the ancient Egyptians have made something so totally tubular without having access to 80s skater lingo?
  • @FixinTwo
This is the video youtube doesn't want you to see. Watch it quick before Atlantians remove it! This is a joke obviously. For those that think this is serious. Prof Miano spoke about folks saying on Facebook that Facebook doesn't want you to see this, and is a play on that.
  • Why can't it be intergalactic space aliens? Just because someone can travel across interstellar space and move effortlessly through deep time doesn't mean they don't use Bronze Age technology when building pyramids in ancient Egypt.
  • So not even people who know how this is done and who can replicate it can convince this guy?
  • The fact that the Ben ignores the existence of ancient drawings showing how the Egyptians drilled these holes just blows my mind!
  • @SiqueScarface
I wonder how it comes that people trying an unknown technology for the first time don't get the same perfection than a professional refining his techniques for a life time. Sorry folks, my first table hammered together from depot store wood has to show the same level of craftmanship than the one the master carpenter makes after 30 years of experience, or I claim he has alien support!
  • I am an Engineer and I will tell you that if you want to do something you can do it. One just needs to have the will to do it. Figuring out how to make a hole does not seem something so difficult that you need generation gaps.
  • @Thx1138sober
Okay, so the Ancient Egyptians had laser drills powered by pyramids and yet they gonna do agriculture like it's 2130 BCE......right.
  • @stev838
They did it by grasping straws
  • @Hoxle-87
Dr Miano, you used several words in your questions to Ben he might not know the meaning to
  • Ben was on Joe Rogan talking about how core 7 was impossible to replicate and they had the core Scientists Against Myths cut and scanned up on the screen...Ben couldn't tell the difference....ooops lol
  • @terberusp7030
Uncharted Ben and Joe Rogan were actually looking in awe at the core made by scientists against myths thinking it was "Core 7" Good times
  • I spend quite a bit of time drilling holes exactly like that here in France (I'm an electrician in Finistere) and I can say from my own experience that anyone with a clue and a willingness for perseverance could achieve the same result as I can even with primitive methods. It can take me about two or three hours to drill 600mm with my power tools and core drills, so the 8 hours referenced in this video for something similar is highly respectable. Also, I would say, granite isn't actually that hard, so copper tubes and an abrasive would be extremely effective. It isn't too difficult to see that the Egyptians could have done this.
  • @MrAchile13
As bad as Hancock is, at least he had the guts to go on a public debate with an archaeologist. Ben doesn't have such a thing, in fact, he ran away from the Ancient Presence podcast when the hosts brought up Mariette's report about the Serapeum 🤣
  • @stmtom2811
The Scientist against Myth channel has some great videos of using the ancient methods.
  • I can watch a video of a chilld lift 1/4 tonne rock, with rope and sticks. Lost civilization acolyte: "I want actual evidence. Build me a time machine, or it's all conjecture".
  • @jonnynice8366
Most people can be convinced of just about anything if they're told about it in a confident voice, regardless of their political orientation, intelligence or education level. It makes me sad that this trait gets abused by grifters at all levels of society and on all imaginable scales.
  • @edgarsnake2857
As always, thanks for the sanity, reasoning, and clear explanations, Doc.
  • @2l84t
Appear more stepped than spiral consistent with an abrasive being used as a cutting agent.
  • @Leeside999
Another key piece of evidence for the method and materials used in drilling is that traces of copper/bronze and various abrasives have been both observed in ancient cuts and detected in laboratory tests.
