While the Archons are known for being extremely versatile, Venti has been characterized for his unique niche of decimating clusters of enemies. Over the years however, changes have been made to endgame systems and even domains that effectively undermined his one singular purpose. Today we'll be discussing how the Anemo Archon went from one of the most widely used characters in the game, to potentially not even the best choice for his specialty.

    Hoyo phasing Venti out was so obvious in version 2. There was absolutely NO reason for specters to resist crowd control except for pushing players to stop using Venti.

    Never realize how all or nothing Venti is. It is hard to make a content that allow him to shine without making him the only option.

    I always say that 2.0 was the version the devs tried to indirectly nerf certain characters and all failed except for Venti

    Venti not being meta is so much in character for him since he's a lazy drunk bump and not being META means less work for him 🤣

    I mean Venti still is the best in slot character for his own particular niche, it's just that Hoyo never plays into it anymore outside some events (and occasionally floor 11). The last time we actually got a floor 12 chamber full of small enemies was a lifetime ago

    Venti not being able to move larger enemies at all is such an intentional nerf to his kit to sell Kazuha.

    Gotta say, recently I started using Venti again - Im farming artifacts for wanderer, and a team wanderer furina Venti Bennett works wonders.

    As a big Venti fan, I hope he gets some sort of addition eventually. He is easily one of the most mysterious (playable) characters in the game, and it'd be reallllly dissapointing to have him stay the same the whole time if we get more lore of him

    Venti was my first ever 5 star and I have never regretted pulling him. He's helped me through every region of Teyvat and is still a part of my main team. He might not be meta, but I still love him ❤

    In the CBT version of Genshin Impact, Venti's burst actually had a literal black hole sucking enemies towards it. Looked absolutely stunning.
