Martin has one of those unfortunate faces where he looks like he'd be a mean guy and hard to approach, but he seems like an absolute sweetheart of a guy.
-
I used to be a Flight Attendant and one of those who used humor during the safety brief. A few years before Pat Morita passed, I had him on the plane. I did my usual spiel and as he disembarked he gave me a light fist pop to my chest. In his perfect Mr. Miyagi voice said “ good job Steve.” He was super nice and one of the many celebrity positive interactions
-
He's 73 yr old, holy shit I would've thought about 60-61.. He looks great.!!
-
Aging is for the weak. There is no aging in this dojo! 😎
-
A world without Pat Morita is a much lesser world, but thankfully we will always have his great, beautiful legacy to inspire us.
-
A friend of mine met Martin Kove. Said he couldn't have been a cooler guy and didn't mind talking about The Karate Kid even though it was a conversation he's probably had thousands of times.
-
The writing on this show is out of this world. I expected it to be "throwaway" entertainment but it is the complete opposite. Thoughtful, deep, well written, respectful of the original. THIS is the playbook on how to continue a beloved movies series decades later. Perfect in every respect.
-
Mr Miyagi is probably one of the best characters, The character had it all, he was funny, he could be serious, very loyal...Nobody could have done the stellar job Pat Morita did
-
You HATED this guy if you were a small kid who watched The Karate Kid back in the day. You almost forgot he was playing a character. Nice to see he's a cool dude with loads of respect for his colleagues.
-
Pat Morita would have been part of this show. Sad that he passed away. Pat would have been thrilled if had appeared in the show.
-
I miss the 80's.
-
Pat Morita as Miyagi es the best father figure for us 80's and 90's kids.
-
Am I the only one feeling weird seeing Martin Kove not being a jerk? I get he's acting in the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai but he's really good at being the villain!
-
Dislikes are for the weak. THERE IS NO DISLIKING IN THIS DOJO!
-
Pat Morita would ne so PROUD of this WONDERFUL show. A masterpiece.... Sets a standard for television.
-
cobra kai is one of the few shows that does justice to the original while introducing new stuff hollywood take note
-
What an incredible actor. All these years later and the hint of assholeness is still fresh with his character. Given in real life Mr. Kove is a professional and well spoken person.
-
I knew Pat Morita. He was very kind off screen, he did not speak in broken English as his various roles portrayed.
-
Who's here after watching Cobra Kai on netflix????
-
All of these actors stepped back into their roles so many years later , and they did it seamlessly. Incredible.
