  • Another technique is to only put a few decorative items on display and rotate them frequently keeping the rest in storage.
  • @WBCRO
I call clutter ā€œvisual noiseā€; it makes my brain as jumbled as if I had the radio, a stereo and a DVD running simultaneously. Your tips are all wonderful!

Halfway through your advice about leaving breathing space, I suddenly remembered the words of Coco Chanel: ā€œBefore you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.ā€ It's the same dressing a room as it is dressing the body. Beauty is best appreciated when it's not being challenged by distraction.

Izzy is so darned cute! And visible clutter is the enemy in my opinion. Love your minimal Style, thank you for the video

    Izzy and the cat tunnel!!!!!
  • @kc3503
oh wow... the baseboard tip. What a difference it made visually in the room!
  • @olivemaycards
Love Izzyā€™s drink and think - what a great life! Great tips, especially about grouping or corralling small things. To make a space feel more open I try to limit how many things are touching the floor. I prefer furniture I can see under for a more open feel, and makes it easier to clean the floors too.
  • My main sources of clutter are my diy stuff and potting items for my orchids n plants! Housed my orchids in diy ikea greenhouse cabinets and cut down on my plant collection! As for cooking, remember I told you I dislike cooking due to limited kitchen space? Now I get frozen ingredients and an air fryer. I'm more likely to cook if it's quicker and less stuff to prep!

Your cat is lovely. Also love how thoughtful you are about how she uses the space.
  • @ds7675
Great tips, April. Even though I watched the series with your momā€™s home, I didnā€™t realize how great the baseboards looked painted the same color as the walls. How did I miss that?? Love your channel. šŸ˜€
  • "Drink & Think" is a cute name for Izzy's ritual. šŸ˜† I used your link & code to order a fountain; think it's exactly what my cat needs.
  • Izzy is loving that view. Great tips as always. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife šŸ™‡ā€ā™€ļøšŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ’ŖšŸ¤žšŸ™šŸ’šŸˆā€ā¬›

I love your flat. It's so calm, cosy and aesthetically pleasant. I've already been using some of this tips on my 268 sq ft studio flat. But you gave me a light bulb moment about what to do with my tiny bookcase and all the colourful books in it, which I love but really don't match my relaxing colour scheme. I'll buy white storage boxes (it's an Ikea furniture) andfit them inside with the spine up so I will be able to grab the book I want easily. You have a new subscriber. Thanks for the tips.šŸ˜Š
  • Cats need wet food too, a dry food only diet damages their kidney. Izzy is a cutie.
  • @user-ym1dq4yz6i
I'm moving from a 800 ft one bedroom to a 550 ft studio, and I'm kinda excited to throw away all the things that aren't needed and create clutter.
  • I spent all day decluttering my kitchen with my daughter. I'm exhausted but we got rid of a ton of stuff.
  • @Jen39x
I donā€™t need auto feeder but that one is super well designed.
  • @reneedubuc3712
Iā€™ve noticed that different studio/small space experts have conflicting views about patterns, dividers, color, etc. So Iā€™m just gonna do what I want. Iā€™ll be my own expert for my space.
  • Always great design ideas. Please come to Chicago and spruce up my small space!
  • Izzy's eat fast vomit is exactly how my one cat operates so I understand you so much. We feed tiny small meals so we can avoid it most of the time
