When I see and hear Ruud talk I can’t help smiling because I remember as a boy watching him score so many goals and remembering the good times. I hope he does well in his new role.

This guy was a BEAST in the box. Almost guaranteed a goal if the ball was at his feet in the box. That's just how good he was. Nobody like that anymore.

Ruud just has the aura when he speaks. His deep voice and calm demeanour just shouts out as future manager.

Our last quality fox in the box out n out number 9, Our strikers should learn a lot especially Hojlund been so similar.. The amount of younger fans that aren't even aware that he went to Real Madrid after utd, I know he didn't have the same impact as he had at utd but it still shows how good he was for us especially given the fact that he done his cruciate just before he was about to sign it also showed us again just how good a coach Fergie was when he went back for him the following season, As if we needed any more proof with Fergie but he did like to remind everyone with masterstrokes like that. I hope there is a succession plan to have Rudd become manager in a few years. He definitely has all the attributes.

Very encouraging that these 2 gents were head coaches in the Eredivisie in Netherlands. I am hoping their past experience translates to better guidance and decisions for the team. Looking forward to the season start so we get regular games and start seeing their tactics come to fruition. Hopefully a better season than the last one.
