I have a question ❓ The moon's distancing reversed towards earth only equals 57k km in 1.5 billion years, according to my calculations with 3.78cm a year, which is very less than half the total distance of 380k ish km. So can it really be used as an argument for young earth? Where does it come from that the earth and moon would collide at 1.5 Byrs ago? Also it makes more sense for the distancing to be shorter every year the further back we go since the earth's gravitational force would be holding it back. Thanks and God Bless //Swedish listener

It's GAME OVER now for young earth creationism, who denies evolution and our common ancestry. I encourage everyone immediately to watch the video: "I Taught an Ape how to Play Minecraft" The video is showing Kanzi, a 42-year-old bonobo with developed cognitive abilities, able to play Minecraft. Kanzi's ability to learn and play Minecraft is part of his daily enrichment activities at the facility. He can choose when to start and stop playing. Christopher "ChrisDaCow" Slayton created a custom Minecraft world for Kanzi with larger targets to facilitate easier interaction. Slayton showed Kanzi examples of how to perform simple tasks in the game, which Kanzi quickly imitated and understood. Kanzi received positive reinforcement, including peanuts as rewards, for successfully completing tasks. Kanzi first learned basic navigation and simple tasks, then progressed to more complex gameplay over two training sessions a month apart. Kanzi's inherent intelligence and previous experience with touch screens and lexigrams likely contributed to his quick grasp of the game.

And what would be the point of that given there is no possible scenario where god could test Adam or Eve for a choice of good or evil where, if they chose evil, the god would gain a right to punish them. God would be forced to commit an evil against the "innocent and without sin" by creating a temptation e.g. create a tempting fruit and refuse to let them eat it. (21st century law: Entrapment. The person who entraps is evil not the entrapped.)

Edit: Question was answered. My mistake 🙂 — It doesn't make sense, please help! 😕How can "mitochondrial Eve" (ME) be the biblical Eve, when ME is our most recent common female ancestor?! By the biblical account, ME should be identical to Noah's wife, shouldn't she? Thanks✌

You suspend all of your attempts at scientific research the very second you talk about Adam and Eve. Mitochondrial Eve and Y-chromosome Adam are a necessity of probabilities. You have two maternal grandmothers, four maternal grand-grandmothers, and so on until you have more than ten to the power of 300 ancestors on the exclusively maternal branches of your genealogical tree up to some 200,000 years ago. At that time, only some thousands of females existed, so those few women are your ancestors in trillions and trillions of lines of your genealogical tree. By necessity, since those few women are the ancestors of some eight billion people, the probability that one of the women is in the genealogical tree of most or all human beings is essentially 100%. This does not demonstrate that there was a first woman, it demonstrates that our current knowledge of genetics works just fine. Also, Mitochondrial Eve is not the only ancestor that is common to all of humanity, she is the youngest. Her mother and her grandmother are also ancestors to all of humanity, and so on to the beginnings of the genus Homo, some three million years ago. And all of the above is just the same with Y-chromosome Adam. You cannot take a snippet of science, in which a jester of a researcher decided to call this unknown woman "Eve", and ignore the rest of science. The science behind the discovery of a mitochondrial Eve and a Y-chromosome Adam is the same that is used daily for paternity tests, and it found these two individuals about 200,000 years ago. At the very least, you would have to throw all science out of the window or declare that your Adam and Eve existed 200,000 years ago. Pick a lane.

If this new science has proven Eve was the first woman six thousand years ago, why is it that some of the more informed commenters are still explaining why this isn't so?
