Judge rejects Trump effort to dismiss prosecution in election subversion case

Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over the election subversion case against former President Donald Trump, has rejected an effort by his defense team to dismiss the indictment altogether.

The ruling from Chutkan is the first meaningful order since the case returned to her last week following a Supreme Court opinion last month, which granted broad immunity for former presidents.
