  • The past month has just been a never ending cycle of me destroying myself emotionally after watching the gay witches and funny frog shows... THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!
  • Eda saying "They are children...they shouldn't have to deal with this." I am thankful finally someone says it. Most shows barely mentions this.

I love this scene bc it reinforces how well-rounded eda is as a mentor character. She doesn't want Luz to be the protagonist if it's going to keep traumatizing her :(

Fans: How many characters can you traumatize in the course of two episodes? Dana: yes
  • @yukio_wp
Finally some adult who's not okay with children solving the world problems and risking their lives!
  • @MetroXLR99
"She and King are children, they shouldn't have to deal with this!" Ironically, this also applies to Anne, Sasha and ESPECIALLY Marcy in Amphibia right now.
  • Eda is such a good mother, waiting until her kids were out of the room and earshot before breaking down. 😭😭😭

haha dont you just love it when 4 characters have mental breakdowns in the span of 2 episodes?
  • When Eda said "this is bigger than I imagine", i feel that. One minute you think Belos is a self-proclaimed tyrant to try and rule the land with an iron fist, and the next you're learning that hes a witch hunter planning to commit genocide from the coven system.
  • I didn't even think that Eda would chose to blame herself for what Luz is going through, that she doomed Luz by taking her in. Bruh EVERYONE is just getting Traumatized now!
  • I love how cartoons are getting more emotional and pulling back on the slapstick, which shows that cartoons aren’t just for kids.
  • Here’s an idea: Since Eda basically fully controls the owl beast within her fully at this point, how about Lilith transfers her half of the curse/beast back into eda so she can enhance her harpy form while Lilith regains the full suite of her magic?
  • I’m glad Dana included the fact that so many fandoms will point out that our main characters will be children and going through this, but the shows will never mention it. Extremely well done on her part
  • I know its not the main point to focus here but Lilith is really changed in this episode. Being away from the coven really must be refreshing for her. She is far more relaxed and softer/kinder. She is concert for eda too and finally a big sister hug!
  • The only character in a disney show wondering why children are getting themselves in danger so often
  • @9zxn
i laughed out loud so mcuh when she bursted out crying, not because she was crying, but the fact that in my head my first thought was lilith's thought "it wasnt that bad"
  • Such a good mama…constantly worrying about her kids no matter how ‘happy’ they seem around her. Also can we talk about the character development she’s had?!?

I really like when these sorts of shows or movies address the fact that children are going through these traumatic events like when in Steven Universe they showed him grown up yet still dealing with the effects of trauma that never subsided, or how in IT we can see how all of the Losers club had been affected in their own way. It's important not to sweep something like that under the rug, so big ups to Dana Terrace and the others working on this series
