Graceland Too | COMPLETE Frecklewish MAP

I- I just realised to rub salt into the wound Frecklewish would be blind in the dark forest wouldn’t she? And she’d never see her brother again.

Though I do like Mapleshade, this MAP changed my view on Frecklewish. At the beginning I knew Frecklewish didn't belong in the Dark Forest when it was announced. Though she shouldn't have called the kits 'creatures' she was still grieving and it was in the heat of the moment. I do believe that when she followed Mapleshade it was to apologize for lashing out but when she got to the river she saw the four of them drowning/struggling in the river and sat there out of shock and paralyzed by fear. Because that's how her brother died. She then saw the patrol and thought they'd be safe because it was a flood and she'd probably die trying to save them. When she heard about the death of the kits I do believe she felt terrible and only continued by being hostile to Mapleshade because she blamed everyone but herself. I love Frecklewish and she is now my favorite character.

I'll be 100% honest, this map made me cry a little. Maybe it's just the song or the fact I like Frecklewish but the talent of so many people working on this moved me. Good job to everyone who took part in this!

I love how this is both honest about what actually happened AND highlights how much Frecklewish seemed to care about Mapleshade. Like- this map paints these moments almost like she was in love… and it’s so sad to see how brutally it all ended. Honest, yet explorative. I like this a lot.

This is a great depiction of Frecklewish's POV in "Mapleshade's Vengance". I would not have thought of Mapleshade's reactions and personality like this, that she held little to no guilt over Birchface's and Flowerpaw's death and was more manipulative around the Clan than I originally thought. This just further proves that this book had an unreliable narrator as we couldn't see potential scenes like in this MAP that would have heavily influenced the reader's opinion of the characters. Well Done with the MAP!!! ^_^

When I heard that Frecklewish was put in the dark forest, I knew this was wrong. She had been grieving in the moment to learn that her brother’s supposed mate was not Mapleshade, and it was her brother’s killer. Her father was the one to banish the kits, which was forbidden from the warrior code, so he must’ve been in the Dark Forest. Frecklewish I feel was a really sad story, and I’m sad that she wasn’t allowed to be reunited with her family and friends but to be put with all of the actually bad cats. I’d like to imagine that her brother took care of Mapleshades kits as their parents wouldn’t be able to take care of them. Appledusk is with Reedshine, and Mapleshade is in the dark forest. I’m thinking though, if Frecklewish is in the dark forest, would they even converse, let alone forgive?

the ending where frecklewish mouths the lyrics "whatever she wants, whatever she wants" as succumbing to her death is what mapleshade wants and frecklewish is sadly okay with it. God it hurts so much 😢❤

It turned out awesome!!! Mapleshade's Vengance is my favorite book ever, and I feel like this MAP portrays both Frecklewish and Mapleshade super well. Mapleshade does seem a little cold, but I think for Frecklewish's point of view it makes sense. I just think this MAP is really cool and everyone did amazing

Honestly, I used to dislike Frecklewish a lot, but after watching this, it gave me a new view on her.

I almost never understand what's going on in WC MAPs because I never bothered to read past the Omen of The Stars series like 10+ years ago, but the way all these animators strung the story together made me really want to know the entirety of the characters history 😭

I love how you added the fact that Mapleshade purely doesn’t care that birchface and flowerpaw died. And she didn’t care that frecklewish was grieving and that’s why when frecklewish asked if their father was dead and thought that it might have been birchface Mapleshade saw it as a chance to lie(by omission) with no remorse and let the clan believe that Birchface fathered her kits. It’s a pure shame people still paint her out as a saint and completely ignore that she is a cruel being this being one of her cruelest acts to gain only what she wanted not caring who it affected in the process. And if you can’t believe that then you’re only lying to yourself simply because you don’t wanna come to terms with the truth. And PS: if you don’t know what “lying my omission” a simple definition of what it means is basically when you don’t give a clear answer to something and just leave the person assuming that something is true without bothering to correct them. And that’s basically what she did Also to add Frecklewishs’ rage towards Mapleshade was justified as she literally lied about her dead brother being the father of her babies when in Reality his killer is their father. And she was just lying for 4 months straight to her face without an ounce of regret. If you don’t see how messed you that is then idk what to tell you. However her anger towards the kits isn’t justifiable. Yes she has every right to be angry but the kits had no say and didn’t get to choose how they were born. The only problem I have with this map is that it looks like Appledusk purposely killed birchface even though it was an accident but other than that this is perfect and I’m glad freckle is getting some positive attention

This map made me cry. Freckles wish has done virtually nothing wrong and She is kind and friendly, but her map is not much. I'm glad she has a nice new map.

God I love this map, it's breathtaking art, designs, palette, easy to understand storytelling and equal portrayal of both my girls without being forced to choose a side, Mapleshade's Vengeance is a complicated book about complicated characters, it makes them feel so real, and I still think it's my favorite book because of it

I absolutely love this MAP all the parts are stunning and it shows Freckle in a proper light. For the longest time she hated for trivial and sometimes made up reasons (The only legitimate time where she was cruel was calling the kits creatures and attacking their mother in front of them which she evidently regretted later). I love her character because it's a very complex one. Especially for warrior cats. Side note, it always seems to be the complex characters like Frecklewish, Bluestar, Squirrelflight, Palebird, ect who get the most hate which is weird imo.
