I mistakenly used a Porsche picture to describe the Supra! D'oh!

Me calling my bank: no there must be a mistake, Freddy said I can afford it :(

I daily drive a 2004 GTO with the 5.7 LS1. The "shared" dual exhaust that puts both pipes on the driver's side is a little stupid (and was fixed with the 6L for 2005/2006). Mine has the Borla cat-back exhaust which sounds really nice. The automatic transmission is anemic, but capable. The 6-speed would be a better performer. I've had it since 2006 and it's been a fairly cheap to own car. The only bugaboo has been the rear pinion seal, which seems to be a typical problem. It took me three different mechanics to get it to stop leaking. The Blaupunct 5-disc changer seems to destroy CD-R's. I swapped the head out last year. The trim kit from Crutchfield looks pretty good and the 2-din space makes a good spot for a larger LCD. The LCD in the dash has been failing, but otherwise no high-tech stuff to fail. Mine is Torch Red with the rear spoiler, and never fails to get compliments. Mostly because people have no idea what it is.

We love the 944 also, we are actually doing a restore of one. We just bought it a couple months ago.
  • Tavarish: "I don't really like rotaries..." *plans to shove one into a Ferrari*

r32s are one of my favorite sounding cars...might have to look for one
  • @UrbanWrench
Okay. One of the best series from Tavarish is back!

"Cars that you loved as a kid" and over half the cars are from the 2000s... I am officially old

I've been looking at the GTOs and G8 GTs. Lot of potential

I love my 2004 XKR. It wasn’t a car of my youth, but when I got my first real job in my twenties I sat next to one in traffic most days and learned to love it.

I have an 04 GTO. Bought It new and been very reliable. In almost 17 years only had a water pump go on me. Good exhaust and headers and this thing sounds nice! Only complaint is cant get wider rear wheels unless you lift the rear a little or roll fenders
  • @pedropohren
Probably the thing i like the most about Tavarish's videos is how he, based on the soundtracks for all the videos, seems to enjoy synthwave/lo fi free youtube playlists as much as i do. :P

I want to take this moment to give you a compliment for the smooth voice editing, some people edit so tight that I get out of breath while listening to them. Also the top ten idea probably will appeal to a lot of people. I myself am a two wheels driver, but I just love watching you and Hoovie, the Car Wizard and Car Ninja. Kudos for your bold projects!

I had a midnight blue 1988 RX-7 GXL when I was 17 and it was effing amazing. It was 1995 and aftermarket import parts really didn't exist for these cars where I came from/could find. Long story short, found a stainless exhaust in the back of a Hot Rod magazine in the ads section, threw a K&N on it with a little 'creativity' and, per the advice of my mechanic... lol, hollowed out all three cats. Yes, THREE. The cats were the last thing I did and that night I went 5.0 hunting and broke an axle flange that *SHOULD NOT* have broken in any circumstances. My mechanic was proud AF. I swear it was a 50hp gain from the hollowed cats alone. It also didn't help that the service manager at the nearest Mazda dealer was an enthusiast and told me my compression was good enough to move my redline to 9,000 rpms. AND THAT'S MY LIFE STORY, THANKS FOR READING!

Finally someone brought up the Solstice GXP not as a footnote. These things were meant to rival the Miata but ended up overshooting into S2000 territory. And they even look like a proper sports car (when lowered, they look like buggies on stock ride height)
