I loved the fact that during early drinking days, self-consciousness got cancelled out by alcohol, enabling me to mix socially. It’s such a pity that insidious cravings kicked in, dictating excesses that fuelled the emergence of either Mr Nasty, or a domineering mistress that insisted on having me all to herself! I never knew who would appear first!
