Already upgraded my mole to the Arrastra. Don't even need to think about it. No more going down the stupid ladder, just to find out I need to move the ship a little more to the left. No more rushing to the refinery. This completely obsoletes the mole in my book. It can do everything the mole can and much much more.

RSI has been checking all the boxes. I didn't intend to startout building a fleet of RSI ships, but that's happening. The Galaxy will now be base building, the Zeus CL a ROC transport and daily driver. The Arrastra will be the fly away for a few weeks and live in the Halo ship. Despite it being a multiplayer ship, I'll certainly be testing it as a solo project. Nice that everything is in the same wheelhouse instead of having to run up and down ladders in the MOLE.

Great video. I think the lowly Cutter Scout is going to become an essential part of any mining org. S2 radar and VTOL means it will be the perfect addition to any mining fleet, assuming it can fit inside something like this.

Really like how detailed you are on all your videos. Above and beyond the others out there

I am no Miner, and I saw the leaks intending to pass this ship. But after today, and looking at the store page, learning about the prospects and gameplay loops for Mining and how it works, I went ahead a got a CCU from my 600i. Iv'e always been just explorer guy, but I wanna see what this ship is going to turn out in the end, I can't believe Iv'e never tried mining until today! RSI has been rocking these concept ships!

Subscribing to your channel. This is probably the first ship buying guide video I've watched that is actually mostly informative instead of wasting time interacting with some kind of content creator community, and the fact that you're using a quality mic with background noise either filtered out digitally or physically versus the echoing-in-their-rooms sound of other reviewers is really great as far as listening experience. Keep it up.

Great overview - it definitely feels really strong vs mole. Also appreciate you noting when some components may be rebalanced!

I am really starting to love the RSI design language the more the game goes on… but not the ballooning price tags
  • I already own a Galaxy. I am thinking of making a small mining circle with friends where we take out a C2 Hercules, Arrastra & Refinery module Galaxy. We will be visiting a remote location, either in the Aaron Halo belt or hopefully inside a nebula, with precious asteroids to mine. Log on from time to time, mine and then send 1 guy to sell the stuff to a close by Planet/Station. Hopefully it will be a profitable janky 7 ppl set up :D
  • @vik12D
I have one. Upgraded the MOLE.
  • I'm very excited for this ship to get into the game, it's a mini Orion and will give us a good idea of how game play for the Orion will work. I'm hoping to see this ship in the verse sooner rather than later especially with all the updates coming as well as the similar assets that are clearly intended to be used from the Polaris, Galaxy and Perseus from the model of this ship. Thanks for the video!

really love to see it... another 5 years feels like forever

I think for the current game, the mole is going to be worse than the arrastra but I also think that once they do away with wipes for good and orgs start to take SC seriously, the arrastra will be the kind of ship an org will work to buy and then arrange for 2 crews of 5 to fulfill mining quotas on for a month before the crews rotate out. And the reason I think they’ll treat it like that is cause an arrastra will probably be an extremely expensive org asset. Of course, the more ships they sell for real money, the less likely that is cause orgs could start out with half a dozen arrastras flying around
  • My plan for larger mine ops is to go with a Galaxy with a refining mod along with a Liberator to carry 2 prospectors with one SRV and a couple furies in the vehicle bay for scouting. The processed ore would be collected in the Liberators cargo bay. I think this set up would allow the same amount of people to basically run the op but not put all the eggs in one basket.
  • @Ssecave
If we can have NPC's a a crew and having 2 players as the main ones (pilot and 1 assist), the Arrastra is just better overall. Mole needs to be SUPER cheap in game.
  • In fairness i think the moles design is bad. the front turret should be controllable by the pilot from the pilots chair, that would help set it apart from the ships above and below it, while making the mole more attractive and useful. Also the mole needs Flashlights on the mining booms BADLY so the operators can see what they are doing in the dark.
  • @jaymayhem8346
Yeah gonna be exciting when this ship is flyable. Snatched one up for my mining team.
  • @rooster1012
Just want to point out that this ship has the new component standard and the MOLE will be getting it's upgraded components at a later date as per CIG's statement after the release of the Zeus.
