I chose the tape. The connection is SO TIGHT-- it took some serious muscle to put together. I am not even remotely concerned that it will fall apart while I'm playing with it (and as you see, I am kind of rough with my hoop and love chest breaks). The seamless connection is totally worth it for me! Plus I think the push button is silly since the thing isn't collapsible anyway.

It was actually on full brightness because I hadn't figured out the dimmer yet. XD This was my very first time playing with it.

The weight hasn't bothered me at all! It is only ever so slightly heavier than my Moodhoop and feels very well-balanced. I am in love!

THANK YOU

Thanks for the info Missina. I want a 34 inch, so I'm hoping that doesn't weigh too much more..right now 11-12 oz is perfect for me, and the Moodhoop has been relegated to my boyfriend 'cuz it's just too heavy. I have a 13 oz LED from Troohoops that is workable. Can't wait to see more details when the website is up.

Um. Okay. Think about it from a maths standpoint. My Moodhoop has 24 LEDs and one Lithium battery. My Synth has almost four times as many LEDs and four NiMH batteries, which are heavier than a Lithium battery. So, yes. Of *course* the thing is heavier. But even then, it's only ever so slightly heavier and hasn't caused me to adjust my hooping style at all.

What choice of connecting did u cho ose? i chose tape but im scared it will not be durable

So it's heavier than a Moodhoop? That is disappointing to hear as my Moodhoop is my heaviest hoop at 16 oz. I was hoping a 32 inch polypro would be less.
