hes such a chad that he doesnt even hold grudges to the demons who nearly killed him and he teaches them
-
Bro I think that conclusion is fucking dope. Literally becoming a god and having the demons you defeated become your disciples.
-
Love this movie. It’s hilarious, badass, and emotional. It’s also directed by Steven Chow, the same person who directed Shaolin Soccer and a Kung Fu Hustle.
-
6:24 This narration is 100% accurate and truly captures the essence and intrigue of the film Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons is a timeless piece... Shu Qi is absolutely gorgeous too ;)
-
FACT FOR FUN: This movie was the highest grossing film of 2013 in China, making approximately 1.25 billion yuan.

“He remembers he’s a monk and runs away most likely not wanting to pay child support”
-
My heart started racing when that baby was slipping off the edge
-
I love how he said the massive woman came out running causing earthquakes with every step
-
Imagine, being a random farmer at night looking over the sky and seeing the massive Buddha up in the sky with his hand moving towards the ground.
-
That ending was pretty sick. Sure, its kind of depressing for the monk, but unlocking powers like that and making enemies into your own disciples? That's awesome
-
The recap genre was the best thing to come in 2020 now I don't got to pay to watch the movies 😂😂😂😂
-
We can all agree that he never disappoints us with his content<3

I've noticed that if it's a movie involving Chinese myths, it usually tends to be badass like this.
-
"he realizes he's a monk so he runs away in fear of child support"
-
This was a movie I saw as a kid and it was amazing for me, thank you for letting me remember this movie.
-
6:30 The child support part 🤣
-
I’m mostly focused on how tang (I think the protagonist name) doesn’t kill the demons and makes them his students. For me I see peace in him and wants to help demons become good instead of evil.
-
Its refreshing. If this were an American movie the young girl and her mother would have been saved and the protagonist would have got with the girl.
-
I love how this movie is Journey To The West story but in the monk's prespective, since usually movies or series about it always in the demon monkey's prespective

Amazing to see this adaption of Wukong.
