This was an initiative I was happy and proud to contribute to. I'm proud of you steve for being humble enough to accept help from friends. I'm proud of everyone in this community who contributed to help take care of a good guy.

It's great to see you out and about, Steve. I said at the time that I thought your encephalitis was probably contracted from a tick bite you got while crawling around the junkyard. Steve, I'm currently painting Don Garlit's Swamp Rat 6/ Wynn's Jammer on the side of my van to commemorate this month's 60-year anniversary of Big Daddy's first ever NHRA record over 200 miles per hour, set at what was my local drag strip, Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey. I'm doing it as an homage to the AMT 1/25th scale model of that digger that all of us boomers built as kids. My dream is to have you and Mr. Garlits sign my van. See you in a few months, sir.

I’m sure the year was really long for you, Steve, and it seemed forever to your fans as well. We’re so glad to see you back in the race after the extended pit stop!!!
  • Excellent work on your recovery, Steve! You look and sound incredible!! Keep up the great work!!!!

As a 67 year old SweDane I have followed you in magazines since the late 70ties. I have learned a lot from your magazine builds, and used it when hopping up various US musclecars owned over almost 5 decades. I am a humble contributor to your GFM page, and extremely pleased that we all could help you with you medical bills, a situation a Scandinavian native really do not grasp the reality of. Seeing you liquidate most of your possesions was heartbreaking, I really hope that you have a speedy recovery and swift financial return...
  • Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. No ! Professor Steve it’s we who thank you for your years to the hobby and information you have given to us . Thank you ! 🍩☕️😎👍👍🇺🇸
  • Thanks for the update, Steve. We were all VERY worried about you, and I'm glad that you're on the road to recovery, whether you're going down it like a Vega or - hopefully - a 1970 440 6 Pack Challenger! Keep your head up, Steve. You'll get there, and the Magnante Nation is behind you 1000%. I can't wait to see you fully recovered and back on your Junkyard Crawl. God is not done with you yet, as he kept you alive and motivated during your dreadful journey. It looks like things are getting better, and even a half step ahead each day is progress! Keep it up, Steve, don't let it get you down, and I'll be watching for some more Junkyard Crawl videos!!!! Oh - and let's get an OFFICIAL Magnante Nation club started. I can't wait to order my T-shirt! I'm praying for you.
