  • I bet I’ve watched 100 different tutorials over the last few months as a lover of this new hobby of AI art. Your tutorial is by far the best I have seen and I appreciate your gift as an instructor and the time and effort you put into this video! Thank you so much!!
  • I really can't say how much I loved this video. My Mom is in the last weeks of fighting cancer, and... I can't sleep. I just delay and delay. Then I wake up and I check my phone, feel an urge to check on her. Then I'm wide awake, and worrying. So art videos have been helpful. The more in-depth the better. I've been too stressed to really do much art lately, but I got a whole bag of my supplies from their house a few weeks ago, along with alcohol inks I never got to play with. I think... It would be cool if I ended up making something she'd like, show her that I'm going to keep at it, keep learning, keep growing. She used to do wonderful landscapes and even some realism, but stopped when life didn't really allow the time anymore. So I think it's something to try, and a way to channel some of what I'm feeling. I always loved making abstract acrylic art the most, so I feel like I'll like this, if I can just shush my perfectionist voice. In anything in art, that voice is always there, but the thing I like to remember is that nobody has to see it. If it sucks, fine, sure, okay. It's not a failure, because I learned, even if it was just what not to do. It'll be easier to identify my mistakes next time. I started trying digital realism with the idea that if it was awful, I could never mention it to anyone and no one would be the wiser. I could just check it off my list and move on. To my surprise, I was kind of good, right off the bat. It's the freeing yourself from expectations part that's hard. But if you can get that down, just enjoy the journey, I don't think I've ever found anything so freeing. I just wanted to comment and say thanks. People make videos for all kinds of reasons, watch them for just as many. But, being able to watch this at this point in time for me meant something, so thank you. I hope you keep it up. I'll be going through your other material on other sleepless nights, and here's hoping you're not the only one who'll be growing in your art. Stay awesome. 🌷

"I watched a lot of Bob Ross as a kid" haha it shows! You have the same soothing affirmative commentary going on.

this tutorial was just inspirational. we should all just make something today and feel really loose about it, because yesterday it didn’t exist.
  • I agree, you’re a fantastic instructor! Not just the practical information and tips, but for me the mental part of the process. Loved the idea of always thinking of it as “practice!” I will that with me always😊 Thank you!

Wow! Thank you so very much for your refreshing teaching style. Your voice is so calming! Over the past 2 weeks I must have watched 50 tutorials on alcohol ink and fluid paint pours. Your style truly resonated with me and tapped into the core essence of why most of us desire to explore creative processes. With the uncertainty of our current world affairs I think there are tons of creatives young and old looking to challenge themselves in new ways. Thanks for your contribution to the journey!
