Please note:
All beauty is subjective. There is no such thing as a true "Top Ten" list. Each piece holds its own beauty and is neither better nor worse than others. Also, unless it has singing, it is not technically a song. The title of this video is merely meant to help an average person find it, so that beautiful music, and the incredible depth of beauty that comes with it, will be discovered and felt by more people. Also, I have no control over the ads. Google places them because the video has copyright claims. Lastly, for those of you who really want to hear more music like this, I recommend this website (I have no affiliation):

They have a list of 100s of famous pieces of classical music like the ones found in this video. Pieces you've heard before but never knew the names of, as well as pieces you haven't heard before but greatly enjoy.

About 7 years ago I was driving a cab. I was taking a woman to sing at a church service that morning. She said she wouldn't have time to warm up with the pianist. She was singing two solos that morning, I wonder as I wonder, and O Holy Night. I asked her if she sang AVE MARIA. The Schubert she said? Yes. Maybe I can warm up a little now. And sitting just behind me she sang AVE MARIA. I got chills and goosebumps. It was incredible. I get goosebumps when I talk about it.
  • The music of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and others like them are the sounds of the universe and life itself. It is immortal and essential.

About a year ago I gave up listening to Rock music and now just listen to classical music, it’s pure genius. All of the songs you have chosen are wonderful and there are so many more, people need to listen.
  • @johnhudson747
The amount of people who have watched this ,proves there is a yearning in this world for good music.
  • @cadencenalu1157
No matter how old the music gets people just come back to it because they are masterpieces
  • @sharontonks3192
Just beautiful, stunning classical music. I'd forgotten how gorgeous these were.
  • @ng3057
It makes me cry as a 21 year old girl , what a wonderful gift to humankind they left behind ❤️
  • I agree that they're ten of the most beautiful songs or pieces of music, composed by authors who left this legacy for humankind to be enjoyed. Thanks for those gifts that many people appreciate.
  • So many thumbs down? Poor souls ! This is a great compilation of heavenly melodies.
  • As someone once said... My list of top ten songs has at least one hundred on it, all tied for first place.
  • That "AIR" by BACH get's me every time. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful songs ever created by a human mind. BACH has to be up there near the top of all the Baroque era composers ever. And that haunting "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven is incredible. There is something about the past that we have forgotten, when life was MUCH simpler and family was absolutely everything. Most people of that era did not travel more than 50 miles from home in their entire lifetime. There was no radio, television, computers, electricity, cars, planes, cell phones, modern kitchen appliances, microwave ovens, trains. Granted, technology has had it's advantages over time, especially in the area of medical advancements which has certainly increased our human lifespan by probably double since then. In fact, medical advancements are happening so fast, that we practically double our knowledge and capabilities over every ten year period. Robots doing surgery? People would have not even thought of that technology back then. In fact, today's technology would have probably scared the living daylights out of them. Can you imagine another 250 years? What will the average human lifespan be? I dare say over 150+ years, maybe more. Genetic advancements are happening at an astonishing rate, including the attempts to crack the aging gene which they are making progress in. Who would have thought stem cell advancements would be where they are today? Imagine 250 years from now. Imagine 1000 years from now? It will be a world that we today would never recognize or even imagine.

As we waited to begin my young nephew's funeral service the incredible Jesu, joy of man's desiring was being played and the church bell started to toll. I still hear it toll when listening to that melody. Sobering.

I have listened to classical music all my life and came here almost `in spite of`the title but your choices are excellent and the accompanying text is so thoughtful, well-put and allow me to say also, nobly conceived, that I am full of admiration and respect for your work. Thank you.
