  • Oh, Nina! You are so wise! I totally agree that when it is hot at Disney (even in December sometimes) looking cute is quite a challenge. I do get some relief with neck fans, cooling towels, and constant hydration. As far as clothing, skorts are my go-to garment for bottoms. I hate to go sleeveless, so I find flutter sleeve light weight tee shirts are best. They are breathable. As for shoes, I hate tennis shoes in hot weather and wear my Vionic or Spenco sandals. I always bring several pair and swap them out during the day to avoid "hot spots" where blisters might develop. THE BIGGEST KEY to coping with Disney hot weather survival is to ARRIVE EARLY!!!! Tour hard from rope drop until 11 am or so, then do early lunch in the air conditioning and return to your room for mid-day rest. (If budget allows, stay on the monorail loop or skyliner- this makes going back for a break so much easier). Then tour again in the evening. That way when FLA is 98 degrees at 3pm, you toured early morning at 85 degrees and evening at 85 degrees. Find indoor AC in peak hours if you must stay at the park. Hydrate and use Genie Plus to avoid standing in a hot sunny line for hours. Good luck to you all who brave Disney in the peak summer months.
  • I'm 70 so don't worry too much about looking cute. I wear lightweight dresses with thin biking shorts, skorts, cotton hats, and my Teva flip flops (I can't deal with sneakers when it's hot). I live in Houston so am kind of used to dressing for the heat. I usually visit in December but going on my 1st solo trip in Sept. I'm bringing my fan and cooling towel. I also will go back to my resort midday during the heat of the day. Your tips were excellent. So many people go so unprepared.

Thanks for the tips-we live in AZ where it’s currently 100 degrees out 🌵but it’s a dry heat - heading to WDW in the middle of July -I need to prepare for the humidity!
  • @reneehughes
This is exactly what I needed to hear! I am so nervous about our ONE park day before our cruise in late August!
  • @rockonollie
When we get our summer high heat and humidity here in Indiana, we say it feels "too Florida outside"
  • @santanat
Could never leave my ears hahaha. I like how mine holds my hair back because its all different lengths so it doesnt all stay in a pony tail haha. Grant it i haven't been in summer. Normally spring and winter. Think thats why im opting for disneyland for my 40th which is in August. I think cali is not as hot ha.
  • @GoldenLilly1995
As a native Floridian some of these things will help me all summer not just at Disney. Thanks for all the great tips!!!
  • @santanat
Omg yes! I love the biker shorts to prevent chafing! I even wear them under dresses haha

Great ideas, I love that you think outside of the box to resolve issues, very similar to me. I was going to use a carabiner like you suggested, but I have gone for a “belt carabiner” instead. I use the clip end to hook on to bag, and will use the Velcro end to wrap around handle to hold popcorn buckets, resort mug, or additional stuff like bags of merchandise, they are very light and versatile. The Velcro end is deigned to go around a belt, but I use it to put around the handle, and Velcro is really strong, so it can hang nicely on the outside of my bag.

Just ordered a bunch of stuff from your list. I usually go in December and the last time I was there in June was ten years ago. I think I blocked it from memory 🤣🤣🤣 let’s hope we survive! Fortunately we’ll be there four weeks so we’ll try to go at it slooooowly and with plenty of rest time.
  • @olafpamela
What cute and funny video 🤔😮😅 and totally correct 👍🏻😃 Thanks for sharing 🤗
  • Again great and honest advice! I thought i was prepared for Disneyworld summer but I learned a few things thanks to this video!👍
  • I love this video! We are at WDW currently and we are from AZ where it’s a drier heat. I wish I would have known about the bra band pad. But I do a similar thing with my cooling towel and I wrap it around my neck and tuck the tail into my bra to collect the sweaty drips. 😂
  • Headed to WDW at the beginning August. I'll be checking out your like! Thanks!!!
  • @MrMaxRebos
Nice video but how else do you carry extra clothing and other items needs in hot weather?
  • @rb5078
Why is she yelling at me?? 😂
