ABOUT SANFORD AND SON: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

Your not Leo the lion. Your Donna the barracuda 🤣
  • “Sanford and Son” was so funny and had so much dialogue, it could very well pass as a radio show!

"I see why your wife died so young..Well your husband didn't live too long either." LOLOL!

The way Sanford and Lamont used to fight but also turned against Donna the word exchange was hilarious, Lamont’ plan nearly worked 😃😃😃😂😂😂
  • Lamont: what kind of a life is it being a wife of an Old Man. Fred: what kind of life you think it is being a father of a young Dummy. , LoL 😂

It was great to see Lamont and Donna's relationship evolve. At first Lamont couldn't stand her, maybe because he felt Donna was taking his mother's place. But I guess over time he figured she's not going anywhere might as well be nice to her.
  • I had liked the part when Mr. Fred said: “ well, I mighta said you know for someone tht was over the hill, you wasn’t bad, and, and if you put on some dark glasses, people wouldn’t be able to see them bags under your eyes.” Funny crap 😂🤣
  • Did anyone miss the fact that Lamont was a grown-ass man in his 30's, throwing tantrums and causing mayhem in his father's relationships, because he didn't want to leave home? Fred used to cook his dinner, breakfast, lunch, and pamper him like he was six! Once. Rollo asked Lamont, "What'chu Waitin' On, Medicare?" When it came to the subject of him getting out on his own. Also, Fred was just as selfish and manipulative, when it came to keeping Lamont with him for the rest of his life. They had a very co-dependent, dysfunctional relationship, but it sure could be funny at times! :D
  • Its funny how many people talk about how spoiled Lamont is, but Lamont also tried to leave several times and Fred would manipulate him into staying by putting on the ole heart attack routine. So it wasn't just Lamont being selfish, Fred was too. He didn't want to be alone.
