One of the most beautiful songs - Targos Town

12 years still i am still come and listen some times.... i am now 38 years old.... imay be i will play ice wind dale again to remember my younger times...

When I heard this song in game for the first time, I stopped, shocked and stunned. I couldn't believe such a beautiful sound was coming from a video game. I immediately knew I would remember this game, this ADVENTURE for the rest of my life.

I remember playing Icewind Dale as 15 years old kid(in 2000). Even tho people of that age tend to appreciate different things than beautiful music. Icewind Dale music, and this song in particular, made me go "woooooaaahh".

Interesting how Inon Zur, composer of Icewind Dale 2's OST (among also Throne of Bhaal) has later on composed the soundtracks of famous current-generation titles like Fallout 3, New Vegas and Dragon Age. Whereas on the other hand, Jeremy Soule, composer of Icewind Dale 1's OST, composed soundtracks for the Elder Scrolls Series (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim), among countless others. Also interesting also how people often forget about the older legendary cRPG titles while over-hyping the current ones coming out by the day. While the new ones aren't bad, by any stretch, there's definitely so much more charm to those of the 80s, 90s or early 2000s, when technology was very scarce and limited. Still those, the aforementioned composers certainly didn't lose any tact, and are still composing beautiful, heartwarming music.

The first time I've heard this track, I was speechless, I felt goosebumps, all over my arms all because of how hauntingly beautiful this masterpiece is. I kept listening to this for over an hour one day.

I just noticed I uploaded this video 6 years ago, give or take a few months. Wow.... I realise the images I chose are a little tacky now, but I hope you guys still enjoy the music! That's what counts.
