We’re Marianne and Chris, a married couple from the UK. After some life changing events we decided that life was just too short. We sold all our belongings, bought an old Campervan & rented our house to travel full time. The aim is to attempt to visit every country in the world in either our van or with a backpack. We started videoing our travels for our family and then decided it was a wonderful way to document and share our adventures.

Our latest adventure started in January 2020 when we left the UK in an attempt to drive our van all the way around the world. Let the adventures continue.

Amasra is so beautiful, we visited in February and even then the weather was lovely. The Blacksea area of Turkey is so so beautiful and happily has not been disturbed by mass-tourism. Also, the people in the Blacksea are the kindest people I've ever come across, proud of their area, proud of their nation and love to help tourist and show them their beautiful country.

What a beautiful village Amasra is. We were on holiday in Sarigerme last month and met a girl from Amasra who told us about how lovely her village was and I have to say she was right !! I never thought I would have had the pleasure of seeing it, yet there you are on one of your stops 😀😀
  • Hi, just wanted to thank you for sharing with us all those beautiful countryside and towns you are traveling through. Turkey is beautiful, people there are friendly and wonderful. I really think that being stuck in Turkey, during this pandemic, was the best thing that could have happened to you. I can not imagine better place for you. I am just worried about winter coming, but hope you will be safe and have a worm place to shelter in. But people there are friendly and for sure you will have a lot of help. Thank you once again for making my dsys lighter in this crazy times. Greetings from Canada. Originaly I am from Sarajevo (Bosnia) with roots from Ulcinj Montenegro.

As a Turkish, I'm impressed to see the beauties of my country which I haven't seen yet. You guys are amazing! :)
  • @doguellt
Amasra is really famous for its fish and locals travel from all over the country to eat it! Try the 'iskorpit' or black scorpion fish if you get the chance! It's unbelievably good!
  • @mertmeh
Those areas are so beautiful! It's so sad that so few people know about these and that Turkey's only famous for their luxury hotels in touristy areas. But in a way it's also better, because I prefer those small villages, unaffected by tourists, where everyone knows everyone and everything is made by hand! Thank you so much for showing us the other side of Turkey! Wishing you a lovely day ^^

I once met a Turkish bus driver, who has been all over the country. He said that Amasra was his favorite place in Turkey.

Dear Marianne and Chris. Welcome to Amasra. Amasra is my hometown where I was born and raised. I haven't been able to go for 10 years and I missed it very much. Thanks to you, I was longing, thank you.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amasra was a very popular tourist destinations in 1970s before the mediterranean and Aegen coast were not easily accessible by road. As Amasra was close to the capital Ankara , most people working in the state and government offices loved to come here. I and my family visited these lovely place 4 times between 1965 thru 1975.

What a fabulous place, I had never really considered going to Turkey until seeing your videos of it, but I will definitely be heading that way in the spring.
  • I had an English friend of mine live in Amasra some years ago and we were able to visit him there on a couple of occasions. Amasra is a beautiful little town and the people we met were so friendly. Wonderful times and memories.
  • The beauty and landscape diversity of this country is insane! Beautiful town city. I've thought cide was on the Mediterranean or Aegean sea, how wrong was I! Thanks for showing us all this. After the pandemic is settled, I hope I can visit turkey.
  • @mertersun
Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, who conquered Istanbul previously in 1453, captured Amasra in 1460 CE from the Genovese. Legend says that, when he looked upon Amasra's setting from a height, he asked his tutor Akşemseddin ""Oh tutor, is this not the eye of the world?"(TR: Lala Lala Çeşm-i Cihan bu mu ola?). This event is memorialized in the names of restaurants (Çeşm-i Cihan or Eye of the World) and in one of the several monuments that decorate the town.
  • Truly amazing, how beautiful the Blue skies and the sea just gorgeous. Being able to amble through those little streets lovely interesting little shops. Feel trap here in the UK it is really great to watch your adventures thanks for sharing guy’s looking forward to Sunday. 👍👍

You guys are the global ambassadors of Tourism Turkey that the country have never been able to produce.👍 I’m Turkish myself but, through watching your show, I’ve discovered so much about my own country. They should pay for your videos and use them both domestic and internationally, which I’m certain would boost the tourism industry quite a lot. I also want to add that I admire your positive commentary on everything you’ve seen or anyone you’ve met; you’ve been there for a long time now and one could imagine that you may have had some unpleasant experiences, but you never said anything negative...Keep up the good work, well done👍
  • Welcome to Amasra. You are very lovely couple. I have been following you for a long time. But I wrote first comment your channel. I wish you have a nice trip.
