Recently I went on a business trip after about 5 years of not traveling. It reminded me that there are best practice I had adopted after many years of travel. Let me share those.

God video. My advise avoided scheduling business travel close to a hollyday. The airport will often be over crowded.

For longer trips: Hotels might have concierge laundry, or even onsite laundry rooms that you can use. If you don't want to travel with a ton of luggage for a longer trip, don't be afraid to do a load of laundry mid-trip. Even if you're stuck babysitting a load of laundry in the laundry room, just bring a book and treat it as mandatory "down time" where you get to relax and turn your brain off for a bit.

I think one point of advice I have in general for toiletries is that most hotels (I really can't think of one that hasn't to be honest) are going to have most of the liquids covered anyway, so unless you're really attached to your shampoo/conditioner/body wash or have other needs...skip them, especially if you don't already have a travel set and need to buy them. I've also only had a bag lost once, and it was on the return. So it sucked, but at least I didn't NEED anything. I've had bags and the contents damaged though, so I can't recommend hardshell enough over soft luggage these days for anyone needing a set.

If you take any medication, if you can, keep it with you at all times while you travel. You don't want to loose it by an accident. I keep mine in my cross body bag that i NEVER take off until I get to the hotel. Also, overstock on your meds. There's always a chance you'll get stuck somewhere due to weather or cancellation. You don't want to run out of meds you absolutely have to be taking. I usually take 1.5x-2x than what I need.
