Time Capsule Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition

Published 2024-05-30
A review and drive of this 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary. The 25th Anniversary Countach was revealed for the first time at the 1988 Italian Grand Prix. For more Lamborghini goodness, check out this video on the legendary Lamborghini Miura S:    • What You DON'T KNOW about the Lamborg...

This new Countach retained the same visual panache and performance of the existing 5000 QV but featured roughly 500 subtle changes and improvements intended to increase passenger comfort and refine style. Horacio Pagani, then an employee of Lamborghini, was tasked with redesigning the bodywork. This included the raising of the nose and re-engineering the air intakes to improve the channeling of air towards the front brakes. At the rear of the car, the bumper received subtle styling changes. The air intakes located just behind the doors received thicker strakes that were painted in the body color, rather than the traditional finish of black. Furthermore, the 15-inch wheels were fabricated as two-piece forged alloy units, and were wider than those fitted to the 5000 QV.

This 25th Anniversary Countach was produced in May 1989 and built as a North American-specification model as you see it today, painted in Rosso Siviglia over a Champagne leather interior. This near factory fresh Countach shows remarkably well having only traveled roughly 1,000 kilometres from new. The paint looks incredible for its age with deep luster and depth. Inside, the leather interior shows very little wear throughout. Furthermore, it should also be noted that the Countach is offered with its tool kit, service manual, parts manuals, dealer brochures and service records.

The Countach 25th Anniversary represents the last iteration for Lamborghini’s most iconic car, and many believe that it is the best of the series in terms of overall refinement and drivability.

So many people don’t like the 25th Anniversary Countach but it’s always been one of my favorite Lamborghinis. I was 13 years old when the 25th Anniversary car came out and absolutely loved it. As a typical teenage boy growing up in the late eighties and early nineties I had a couple huge posters of different Countachs on my wall along with a few Ferrari and Porsche posters. Dreamt about cars like this all the time.

Some don't like the 25th Anniversiaro Horatio Pagani styled 25th Anniversiaro, but it's my favourite version🤘🤘. It should have used more Kevlar and had some Titanium, though😁

That has to be an amazing experience!
  • Thanks, good video with a good explanation. I preffer the looks of the Countach without the rear spoiler, that huge wing is an overkill thing for such a nice design!
