Mike not clocking how Marc-coded he is is absolutely sending me 😭

jaw DROPPED cause NO ONE has spoken about Ugly Betty on this platform and IT IS A CRIME
  • @zhorne22
Looooove that Mike chooses to talk about shows that are from a similar era of pop culture and then proceeds be shocked when he finds out things overlap

i’m from LATAM and here “ugly betty” (the original show) is HUGE, the cultural impact is insane. When “ugly betty” entered netflix LATAM it was number #1 for weeks, people was watching it all over again, new generations were watching it for the very first time too. Totally crazy. And also, today we can finally call America Ferrera an Academy Award Nominee 🎉.

I need the Desperate Housewives series more than anything
  • @ladygaygay94
Ugly Betty is an iconic series but I truly will never forgive ABC Studios for convincing the world that AMERICA FERERRA could ever be ugly like absolutely not Edit: for those who aren’t understanding what I’m saying let me be clear: I understand the point of the SHOW was to have America be “ugly” in a beautiful world, but the show’s messaging worked a little too well as so many people thought America IN REAL LIFE was ugly until she was on Superstore. Like there were so many posts about her “glow up” because the show made her out to be some kind of troll. Okay thanks bye!

The way HEROES had me in a chokehold. The first season was impeccable.

As a Colombian I’m so happy you acknowledged Yo soy Betty la fea as the original! It really had a massive cultural impact in our country and Latin America in general
  • @buuuuuuuuuu
only someone with a masters degree in mechanical engineering could make a video about the slayest week in september of 2006
  • @aubriana326
Literally GASPED at the notification of a Mikes mic video. The girls needed this
  • @0rihimeInoe
Sis, I could write a whole essay about the cultural impact of Yo soy Betty, la fea. When I tell you till this day having bangs and glasses is a fashion statement in Colombia, or how even years later every time the telenovela has a rerun it stills becomes the most watched show in the country, or how even years later it is still so relevant that meme culture quotes the show all the time.

I simply MUST demand a full deep dive into Ugly Betty. Like that would be SO on brand for you and we’d be gagging

Mike refering Milo Ventimiglia as 'the guy from Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry, music video and nothing else BECAUSE THAT'S ALL HE'S BEEN IN' is quite literally a federal ofference. Put some respect on Jess Mariano's name. INSTANTLY.

You mentioned watching Dark on Netflix before, and if you're going to get into time travel I'd like to nominate Dark for the next appropriately unhinged breakdown. That show is CRAZY and absolutely requires a corkboard to explain.
  • I'm so obsessed with Ugly Betty. So much of it is SO problematic but it's so campy 😭😭😭
  • @makstracy
Not me binging the Mike's Mic Cinematic Universe, wishing there was a new upload, and he suddenly throws a new upload at me. 👽
  • @Alty-Souls
Heroes owned my life for a solid year and then I didn't think about it a single time in the intermediate two decades
  • @PhazeParsnip
Your extended humming sections where legitimately some of the most healing sounds i've heard in a while. cured my ADD and cleared my dark eyebags
  • @nopenopexx
That Seulgi poster in the background is majestic!
