The only thing they stole was my heart.
  • If Gigantoraptor is basically a big bird, does that mean Big Bird is a Gigantoraptor?

I genuinely liked how BBC's planet dinosaur depicted them, also as a genuine parents. These guys were huge, like scaring the tyrannosaurids away - huge!

Gigantoraptor is so underrated no one really talks about it and it's my 3rd favourite dinosaur

Why is this oviraptor so large? Gigantoraptor: I eat 2 dozen eggs every morning to help me get laarggee

Imagine if they actually had the aggression of a lot of modern-day ground-dwelling birds. That'd be a nightmare.

Whoa that's my paleoart at the end! Also, great video. I didn't know much about these fellas, but I always wanted to know more
  • 2:18 Gigantoraptors may have been carnivorous or may have supplemented their diet like hadrosaurs ( now known to eat crabs, crayfish, etc) to sustain a fast metabolism required for fast growth. Meat is usually much more calorie dense.
  • Jurassic Park kid: "That doesn't sound very scary! More like, a 15-foot turkey."
  • There also might be aerodynamic benefits to arm feathers NOT related to obtaining lift, like how ostriches use their wings when turning, both to alter balance and differential drag.
