The mother is a spitz or pomeranean as they are also called as their breed hails from Pomerania, a place in Germany. This breed used to be very expensive and hard to get, usually very bright and close to their owners. Hard to understand how she ended as a stray and pregnant with what seems pure bred puppies. My father gave my mother one caramel pomeranean for birthday and I grew with it, such a lovely, clean dog, highly intelligent. Mother loved it to distraction, when she left home to work Play, as it was called, would wait for her from a vantage point where it could see the door and didn't even eat. When Play died, soon after my father, she got sick , cried endlessly and had to go to the hospital.

So small fragile, innocent. Helpless..PLEASE be gentle.
