We are Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple that during a sabbatical trip in 2016 decided to follow our dream. So, we created "Odd Life Crafting", a project composed of many smaller projects that we call seasons.
The first one was the creation of Odd Life Crafting. The idea was to build a metal boat to be able to travel the world taking our house with us, but we didn't have money for that. So, we started the next season: we built a tiny shipping container house with no prior experience in building to gain some skills to build a boat. When we were almost finished we found a boat 700km away from our hometown that was neglected for over 22 years and we spent 2 years refitting her (Season 3). On the season 4 we sailed for 2 years (exploring the Brazilian coast and part of the Caribbean), we sold our boat and we moved to Europe. The last season we are starting to build a new aluminum 43ft sailboat and a new life.

We hope to inspire others to follow their dreams.
SUBSCRIBE to our channel and join us every SUNDAY for a new episode of our journey!!

I have been silently watching all your videos since the shipping container tiny house. I’m not going anywhere. I’m with you. I will continue to support you. Keep up the excellent work.
  • @garytrautmann
I will not ever leave you guys filming Van or boat doesn't matter. You two are so awesome and so passionate.
  • @ajnasreddin
You're in France. Nothing progresses according to plan. Sit back and have a coffee. I appreciate bringing to our attention all the innovative technologies available for design these days. Most people do boats like everyone does boats. Thanks for the new ideas and perspectives.
  • @speedmasteriv1
I am sure most of the people like me that has been enjoying your channel since your container home built, will never leave you. You guys are really amazing. Your channel has been growing so much. Love watching your videos.
  • @richcraven9207
Boat, container home, van, babies, it doesn't matter what you build as it is the passion and love you bring to every project we enjoy. Not going anywhere,
  • @werewolf2003002
I'm here for you, it's wonderful that you're putting your respect for the person that is welding your boat together before the need to be filming. It says a lot of good things about the integrity of your character that you're willing to do that.

once Roberta and baby are okay that's the most important thing. The van build is also interesting, because a lot of us want to get an idea of what it takes to do something like that and its good practice for the boat
  • @AlfieBarlow_
I’ve been here since the very beginning and I will continue to support you guys. Building the van is giving you knowledge and experience ready for when the boat hull is completed.
  • I subscribe when you bought odd but now i stay because i like your projects and i want to support you. Subscribers are like friends only the true ones will stay no matter what you do. So just do the things you like and live your live and the real one will stay with you. Don't change for anyone God bless you.

You guys are the reason I watch. There are plenty of project channels out there, but I like to see your adventures and maybe learn something along the way.
  • It's looking good, don't forget in France everything shuts in August for the holidays. We are here for you guys even if you are building a sand castle, don't worry.

Hello Duca and Roberta, I wanted to thank you both for this video. Taking the time to recognize us and give an explanation to us all of what the dilemmas are with your new boat is truly much appreciated!!! We all look forward to the future videos of you will have to share with the new boat. No worries, I hope everyone involved is patient with you both. The truth is we are here for you three as you have been so kind to us, sharing your lives with us all. You give those of us hope and dreams to admire! I will pray for you three that you stay safe in your space and that you remain as peaceful as you can. Remember life throws us all curve balls it is better to embrace them because something more positive will come of it! Ok love you guys keep doing what makes you happy. I love the van build and maybe take some time go see Roberta’s parents! Her mom must be really excited to see her and feel the baby! Peace be with you guys… God Bless you! Happy Father’s Day Duca.
  • @webheadusa9377
Duca, I don't know if you celebrate this American holiday - Father's Day! But since you are known in the U.S., maybe some of us have figuratively adopted you and Roberta, Happy Father's Day! :¬) Webhead USA
  • Duca...forget about your viewers leaving and get that van done while you have the time. Be the best you can be. You guys are at your best doing projects and loving each other. You can't worry about things you can't control. Remember sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Sometimes that isn't fun. Your channel will be stronger as you work hard through the hardships. This is what we really love watching anyway. Celebrate the start of the boat and show the progress when you can. You guys are greatly loved and there is not a single welder who can throw you guys off track. Keep up the good work and never give up.
  • @ThomasMuscat
Van project has been amazing. You guys don't need to worry!
  • I think many who follow you (or at least me) are just happy to see that there is some progress. For me the real fun actually begins once the hull is completed anyway. And the van build is a form of creative progress to enjoy in the meantime, I love watching that. I follow Roberta and Duca more than a boat build, I hope I'm not the only one who feel this way.
  • @pauldavey818
Boat or van I don't care. You two make me happy and are lovely, inspiring people.
  • @bobbykeyz1263
I haven't missed a video in years, and I dont plan on missing one now. I do enjoy watching all the build videos, but I also enjoy watching you both, just enjoying yourself on the open water and in life in general.
  • As a life long technician I understand the builder mindset of not wanting an audience or filming while I do my thing. Many craftsmen appreciate the peace and solitude. of doing what they do. All will be OK. we aren't going anywhere. Thanks for the update
