Stats at lvl 100 w/ perfect IVs:
HP : 304
Defense : 336
Sp.Atk.: 314
Speed : 150

NPC Advantages: no requirements. gardevoir (life dew, synchronize), intimidators (staraptor, arcanine, tauros), and driflbim (will-o-wisp) help. intimidators only help at the very start though, since this strategy involves giving emboar immunity to intimidate on turn 2.

Strategy: iron defense, skill swap, stored power until your stats reset, 3x iron defense, 6x calm mind, charge tera orb with stored power, attack cheer, terastalize, stored power to victory.

Notes: ground tera w/ scorching sands works well too, but the damage output is far lower, and it took me 128 seconds longer to clear.

Pros: defeats emboar relatively quickly. excellent def and spatk stats, outspeeds emboar.. no weaknesses, resists flare blitz before terastalizing, resists drain punch after terastalizing, iron defense buffs def 2 stages. calm mind buffs spatk 1 stage and spdef 1 stage. stored power has a base power of 20+(# positive stat stages)*20, which amounts to 380 at +6 spdef/spatk/def . it deals STAB damage when terastalized. it also gets a 1.2x boost from twisted spoon. skill swap removes emboar's reckless ability, which eliminates the 1.2x boost that emboar gets for flare blitz, wild charge, and head smash, and makes it much easier for diancie to survive critical hits.

Cons: tera type not supereffective, and mismatches base type. mediocre HP stat. skill swap gives emboar clear body, which prevents NPCs from debuffing it. this includes intimidate, leer, charm, chilling water, moonblast, mud shot, shadow ball, and energy ball. relies on heal cheers and NPC gardevoir to heal.

Overall Rating: 9/10
