I know they are not as common but I bought a 32k mile Mustang GT 4.6L 3v complete with 5r55s transmission, harness, accessories, fuel tank, gas pedal, etc for $2,000.....then found a used MP112 Magnuson supercharger for $650.....so all in with tuning I'll be under $5,000 for a 425rwhp setup. Oh yeah, this is going in my 1952 Ford F1 pickup.
  • I work at LKQ in QC now. ive got 2 bits of advice for everyone. 1) we do NOT deliver to a residential address. 2) if you call us and ask the sales rep specifically for "a full-drop" and specify you want the harness with the engine. he can put in the notes to the dismantle crew to leave it attached. this can also be extended to the full drivetrain if you want it. ENG, TRA, RDS(rear drive shaft), and RAX(rear axle). we do try to get the customers exactly what they want/need. and if we dont do it the first time, we will try again until we get it right. i use to be a driver for them for 2 years. it wasnt an issue for me to go back to the same shop 3 and 4 times to get them the exact right part. typically mistakes like that only happen with electronic devices because the manufactures make so many different models based on the trim levels of each vehicle. IE, a radio that fits a Ford escape is the same that fits a fusion, or a taurus. and each of those three have 3/4 trim levels.

I'm going to Coyote 10 speed swap my 2000 lx vic- it's gonna take time but i look forward to it
  • I just recently got my 2010 GT. I lost my 2007 GT after getting married then divorced. One day when I get the money saved, I want to put the 5.0 in my car. It took everything I had to get my car back. I saved every paycheck I had. I worked in a salvage yard for 5 years and didnt make much money. I'm currently saving money to go to truck driving school. Once I start making good money. I'll be able to swap motors.

Have you done a swap on a 87-92 f150?... I'm debating this, but not sure of what modifications I may run into.
