Thank you for not being theatrical. Just pure, distilled information, calmly and articulately explained. Well done.
  • Tip for the vagabond class: you fat roll because you begin with the longsword and the halberd equipped. Just unequip the halberd and you won't fat roll.

I love how finally, after all these years, a sorcery build is not only beginner-friendly, but recommended. We've waited long, my mage build brothers, but the day is finally upon us.

Glad to see there’s still a “naked f*ck with a stick” class. I’ll be picking wretch.

I’ll be playing as a confessor to start. My only advice for new players is don’t get discouraged by dying, you will, a lot. Use this open world to help advance you and come back later or keep pushing on until you learn how to defeat the enemy you want to kill.

I just want to say, if you’re a new player: play whatever looks cool. Just know some starting classes are harder than others but you will learn. We need to stop telling new players to not play certain things because they might be difficult for them. Other than that the video is amazingly informative so thank you!

I’m taking on Elden Ring as my first soulsborne and after sampling the relevant YouTube channels I think this is my favorite as far as explaining things clearly. It’s nice to hear info in a way that assumes I haven’t been living in a cave, but I’m just not familiar with some of the nuances of this genre. This does a good job of explaining what each class is trying to achieve, and what that means for experienced and new players.
  • Was searching far and wide for a quality class breakdown and knew you would come through!

I played Demon's Souls as a healing knight type, so Confessor sounds up my alley. Astrologer is tempting though as I never learned into magic. In Dark Souls I just hit everything with a massive sword. Do appreciate this guide.

You explained everything SO well, and I appreciate you pointing out which are good for beginners vs more advanced players. Great video, thank you!

Uchigatana has always served me well in the souls games. Looks like I'll be sticking with old faithful for my first playthru. Dual scimitars are also very tempting though so there may be a switch mid game
  • @FullMetal625
You've talked me into playing Confessor with that paladin comparison
  • @OldFluffyBeggar
I've never played a Fromsoft game before and went with Wretch. It was tough, but I think I had a lot more fun as a new player that way because it really forced me to learn all the mechanics. I'll just have to re-roll my stats later so I can better optimize them for the weapons and armor I want to use after having progressed through most of the game.
  • Great guide, I can’t wait to dive in! I’m torn between the confessor and samurai. I’ve played faith builds and liked it, but the samurai seems like a fun sekiro type build. Either way, can’t wait to play this and I’m really excited about the steel book!
  • @K1eaner
Thank you, a no nonsense guide. Much appreciated!!!!!
  • @ac_online
Awesome. Usually it takes me a few tries before I find a video this helpful. Great work. Thank you for breaking this down so well.
  • @budzcee
Thank you for being straight forward and to the point. Your video helped me better understand the class guide for when I begin Elden Ring for the first time. 👍🏼
