Pomp And Circumstance March No. 1 by Edward Elgar

Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free,
How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee?
Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set;
God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet,
God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet.

    May our cultures resist the globalistic efforts to relativize them. Greetings from Germany and happy Saint George's Day.
  • One of the only Saint's day that the Orthodox and the Catholic can celebrate togheter!
  • As Cecil Rhodes said, "you are an Englishman, and have subsequently drawn the greatest prize in the lottery of life".

    The version of the story I prefer is in which the dragon doesn't terrorize the village, but its presence poisoned the air and water. To me, that works better as a metaphor of evil, and lines up better with older dragon mythology.

    O God, who granted to Saint George the strength to sustain the torments he received for our holy faith; I beseech You to prevent my faith from wavering, so that I may also faithfully serve You with a sincere heart unto death. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. St George, a faithful servant of God and invincible martyr, you were favoured by God with the gift of faith, and inflamed with an ardent love of Christ. You fought valiantly against pride, falsehood, and deceit. Neither pain nor torture, sword nor death could part you from the love of Christ. I fervently implore you to help me by your intercession to bear bravely the trials and temptations that oppress me, so that I may patiently carry the cross which is placed upon me. Let neither distress nor difficulties separate me from the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Valiant champion of our faith, assist me in the fight against all evil.

    Blessings on all of England and the English!
  • Glorious! I liked that you also mentioned beowulf. I think beowulf king arthur and sigurd. Perhaps can help to explain why englishmen were so keen to adopt St. George. The english have always loved a good dragon slayer.
  • Thank you For reminding your Own peoples off their Great ancestory...now i should go and do the same

    Happy Saint Georges Day😎They have tried the same thing in France, my country, a few years ago they tried to remove a statue of Joan of Arc, and let's just say it didn't go well for them😅. While I think France has lost a sizable part of its soul since the French Revolution the French Spirit still remains, Bravery, Loyalty, and Perseverance in the face of terrible odds are some of the hallmark traits that still endure, such as in WW1 and WW2 and this spirit is embodied in our Patron Saint Joan of Arc. I am not afraid, I was born to do this. – Joan of Arc's last words.
  • An excellent video Your Imperial Highness ! I must say that the story of Saint George is most fascinating, I will be sure to tell of this video to my friends who are some of England's Sons. It could certainly do them some good. (especially since one them has admitted to have taken a liking to some of Marx's teachings, which I find most unfortunate). I am always happy to learn more of European (and in this case English) history and some history relating to Christianity is rather pleasant. I will be honest and admit I am not quite sure how I feel about Christ and his followers ; I feel as though his teachings of mercy and peace have perhaps lead the peoples of Europe to accept unfair insults and attacks against them yet His story is still most beautiful and inspiring, it is so idealistic and full of love that one cannot help but to be enchanted. There is also the fact that Christ has been in the hearts of Europeans for more than a thousand years, those who seek to honor His words have shown the beauty of God through some of the finest art I have seen, immense cathedrals and paintings of saints and their feats are of such mastery that they leave one in awe of their splendor and I am certainly not one to deny the power of aesthetics. I'm sorry for the long comment I simply feel as though a video which I assume took quite some time to make deserves a bit of extra effort in a comment it receives. I will end on this note. Happy Saint George's Day your Imperial Majesty !
