Welcome to a VERY special 100,000 Subscriber Special! This hour + long video not only has a complete teardown of a tired old small block Chevrolet 350 V8, but a shop and lot tour, details about how the channel operates, where the channel will go from here, some announcements and more!
My name is Eric and I own and run a full service auto salvage business called Importapart. Part of our model is dismantling core and blown up engines and selling usable and serviceable parts from them. At this point there are over 50 teardown videos from many makes! Please, check out the play list:    • Blown Up Engine Tear Downs! A collect...

If you'd like to buy parts from this engine, or any of the other engines I've torn down, the vehicles in this video, please shoot us an email at [email protected].

I cannot explain my gratitude for the amount of support this channel has gotten in such a short period of time! I never expected this, and I am incredibly grateful for it all! So, thank you!

As always, I appreciate all of the comments, feedback and even the criticism.

Return next week for another regularly scheduled teardown! What will it be? Well, you'll just have to wait and find out!
-Eric

  • Eric, you've hit 100k because you deliver real content with no BS! We jump on here for the same reason we used to turn on the TV-to be entertained and to forget about things for a little while. No politics, no judgements and no virtue signaling. And, we get to learn a thing or two about an engine we prob would've never been able to look into in reality. Plus, you're witty, clever and a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Keep up the good work, you rock!
  • That camshaft is known as a "hamburger" cam, as some of the lobes are "ground round." Great video, by the way.

The genuine emotion when he opened the box with the play button. You can hear and feel the emotion and appreciation. Congratulations!!!

Your channel has grown the way it has because of your consistency and lack of nonsense. This channel is easy to watch, you're witty, funny and down to earth. You grabbed a niche by taking apart engines. Something i wish I could do, luckily you made a business out of it and you reward yourself by doing so. Your channel is fantastic, and I watch every Saturday. Keep up your good work and it'll grow even more.

This is head-and-shoulders above all the utter dreck that most cable channels and, honestly, a metric f#$!-ton of Youtube channels produce. Since I've reached the point where I no longer have the physical ability to do stuff like this, I live vicariously through content like this. :)

Eric you deserve the 100k. You're the best thing I've discovered for a weekly video channel. Anything you tear into is always worth watching. The reason you have 100k is because what you do is what people want to see. No cheesy intros or editing. Keep up the amazing work.

I'm glad for you Eric. Stay humble and the world will love you. Blessings.
  • @CrazyPetez
Eric, I can’t tell you how impressed I am with your business. I thought you were a guy who owned a lot of BMWs and tore engines down in the evenings. Wow! You have an impressive car business. You are one very capable businessman. Congratulations on your 100K YouTube subscribers too. Well done, and much success in the future.

Hands down, this is my favorite channel. And, I agree with those who said "Thank you for no intro and music". I do like that you get straight to the point, are self deprecating, funny, and so knowledgeable. Also, it was very special to meet your family and congratulations on your new baby! Looking forward to what lies ahead and wishing you all the success in the world in your future endeavors!

Nice guys don't always finish last, Eric. You're the type of person I would not only do business with, but would be happy to consider a friend if we ever got to know each other. This is why you have the success you have. You're a hard working, honest family man who treats people the way you want to be treated, and it doesn't go unnoticed. We need more people in the world like you, so keep doing what you're doing. Congrats on your thriving business, your 100,000 subs and the baby on the way. Just remember, "Jack" is a great name!

As a born and raised Chevrolet kid, I can truly appreciate your decoding of the stamping on the block. Immaculate.
  • @orion6622
Anybody else like the audio more than the video? Listen with heads phones on! Makes me feel like I’m actually doing it! Awesome channel.
  • @speedkar99
Nice work! That's alot of cars! Maybe one day we can do engine teardown collabs.
  • @ozmrrotary
Started watching when you had around 5k subscribers. After seeing the V8 teardowns I was pleased when you didn't butcher the Rotary tear down so knew you must know a thing or two about engines 😎 Each and every video has been a joy to watch and to learn something and always look forward to every weeks video. Very very well deserved to reach 100k 👍😀
  • @rayzor285
You do deserve this. You're an incredibly humble person.
  • Eric, I love your videos buddy. I’ve been following for a bit now, maybe over a year. The content is spot on! When I see you have a new video, I get almost giddy. I’m 66 years old, I own a couple of cars that I love and never will part with, and your show IS very informative. You are a great guy, nice family, a new child on the way, and a thriving business. You are living the American Dream. It is hard, but look at the results. You earned one hundred thousand subs of which I am proud to be one. Congrats on that milestone, and congratulations for your new child. I was born with race fuel for blood 🩸 100 octane minimum. You absolutely deserve what you have and have achieved. Be well. Big Al.
  • @glg2029
You deserve all the success you’ve worked so hard for.
  • @g1channel
Congratulations on everything!! The subscribers, the new car, the baby on the way. Found you as a recommended video and haven’t stopped watching. From a mechanic that works on cummins engines, its great to see someone tear down engine after engine after engine that doesn’t bs their way through the video or cut to after a part is removed. The struggle keeps the video real and genuine. Glad to see variety and some really messed up parts
  • I worked for a large marina forty years ago, and some fool forgot to order the new boats to be winterized. We had about 25 small blocks freeze and crack! The insurance company paid for replacement bare blocks, plus labor and gaskets. I got very, very good at disassembling and reassembling small blocks. In two weeks we had them all fixed. And winterized. Nice to meet your growing family, congrats on 100K!

You read pretty good for a knuckle-draggin wrench turner. Now, in all sincerity, congrats, it's well earned. Why are channels like yours so popular? I'm sure that list is endless, for me, I love turning wrenches and would love to take over one of your stalls. You also explain stuff in a way that I think most can understand. Finally, from this gimpy disabled Vet, congrats on taking an interest, if not a passion, and turning it into a business. You, sir, are a hero because you are setting an example for others to follow. You may not notice the flack I throw at you in the countless comments but they are all in jest. Take care of yourself, your family and congrats on the upcoming arrival.
