  • I got to see RJ race the Tokyo Supercross (I lived in Japan and raced amateur MX there from 1981-1984). He was an absolute SUPERSTAR. The man epitomizes professional Motorsports and even though he is probably close to my age, he was one of my hero’s in the 80’s!

Definitely one of my all-time favorites. I bought all the Moto-Video supercross races I could afford back then. I think I have 8 of them, including 1986 Anaheim. Transferred them to DVD about 20 years ago. I'm going to watch a couple tonight. Thanks for the memories Rick!
  • Wow. Just amazing. What a talent, and what a thoughtful, well-spoken man. Very valuable life lessons here. Still my hero.
  • I used to wear RJ JT Bad Boy race shirts out on town, back in the day. Loads of people said how awesome they were and asked where they could buy one. These were the days of mx 😎

I remember the motorcross maximus Oakley sunglasses ad in Dirt Rider Magazine that had Rick and it probably contributed to a thermonuclear protection sticker on my ford escort for those who know....
  • I miss seeing Bevo in person at the races. That man gave away a LOT of goggles. lolol
  • Literally watched all these guys race at Washougal and the kingdome
  • This is pretty much spot on. I heard that McGrath guy was pretty good too. I wonder what ever happened to him? lol
