I built a radio control Formula 1 race car!

I am so grateful to be able to attend my first ever Formula 1 race in Barcelona, Spain. Of course I had to build and bring a scaled-down F1 radio control car!! In this video, I walk through the steps to turn a box of Tamiya F104 parts into a 1:10 scale SF-24 Ferrari modeled after driver Carlos Sainz' 2024 car. This build took pretty much all the skills I've acquired in the RC hobby over the years - building, painting, soldering, 3D printing and more. I finished it just in time to trek it 5,500 miles to the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit for the June 2024 F1 race in Spain!

i really couldn't care less about F1 but i absolutely love a from scratch RC build. you really nailed the body and decals, very often most enthusiasts will hire this part out or just buy something done already, it really takes someone special to execute it like you did. i hope this video gets a lot of traction, well deserved!

My favorite part of the rc hobby has to be the way we can watch creators as your self try something new or a skill you see somewhere else and we get to come up with new ideas from others ideas. I love the innovation

My favorite part of RC building besides the build itself is the tires. I love trying different tires. I have tons of RC tires that I swap in and out on my RC cars.

I'm a nerd for scale replicas, so I love building model kits into working RC prototypes, even if they're unoptimized. I think you should crossover into rally! Being present at a rally event is an absolute vibe, it's awesome

What I like about the R/C hobby is getting to meet the people, there are so many that are willing to help and give advice about upgrades, quick fixes and the willingness to help those that are new to the hobby out

I love the fact that I can build anything I want, and with my 3D printer I can customize it to not only look how I want but also have the accessories I want. So with my RC hobby, I can own vehicles I couldn't possibly consider driving otherwise!
