CASETIFY vs OTTERBOX (Watch BEFORE you BUY!!)

In this video we will be taking a look at Casetify vs Otterbox cases. I will provide an overview of Casetify's current case offerings and compare them to Otterbox's cases. When looking at cases for my iPhone 14 Pro that offer good drop protection, the two most popular case manufacturers I see are Casetify and Otterbox. I am familiar with the Casetify cases and have been using them since my iPhone 12 Pro. I have limited experience with Otterbox cases because I have typically found them to be too bulky and lacking good style. The cases I will be reviewing are:

Casetify Impact
Casetify Ultra Impact
Casetify Bounce Case
Otterbox Symmetry
Otterbox Defender Pro
Otterbox Defender Pro XT

Casetify provides both a drop protection height as well as military standard. The Impact offers 8 feet of drop protection and 4x military standard, Ultra Impact 11 feet and 5x military standard, and the bounce case is 21 feet and 6x military standard. Otterbox only provides drop protection in military standard. Otterbox symmetry is 3x military standard, defender pro is 4x military standard, and the defender pro xt is 5x military standard. The Casetify cases are more expensive but I prefer them over the Otterbox because of the better drop protection in addition to better style and options.

He’s sponsored by Castetify. Moving on to a non bias VIDEO ✌🏽
  • @sydneeholcer3635
Before I even watched, I had to check to see if this was sponsored, and it was lol.
  • Thanks for your perspective on this I agree that a slim form factor is crucial in whether I’ll even use the case

Otterbox defender has better protection but limited designs and colors. Commuter is also a very nice and sturdy case. Symmetry is a no go, looks and feels cheap, and it’s not! Casetify is just too expensive

As an industrial engineer, I can attest to dropping my phone from the roof of a production plant, working on a steam pipe. It dropped about 10ft down, bounced off an energy water pipe, then fell another 15ft to the concrete floor. The phone was perfectly fine, but the inner plastic frame of the Otterbox had broken into 2 extra pieces. This is why I always put an Otterbox on them. I would bet the Casetify would not have protected my phone.

Your Casetify link won't allow me to log in to order. Very frustrating. I had to submit a ticket for support. Now i have to wait for support help! I can log in but NOT after i click your link!

Otter box defender was great back in the day my only issue was the charge port would stretch out of shape after 6-9 months in my experience causing the bottom to pull away from the plastic frame

I used to like Otterbox and loved their symmetry 360 case for the ipad pro. Then i got a Air and bought this same case for it. It was horrible lol. A corner was always loose because the case isn’t well made. Like how did they release that! Lost faith in them after that. I love casetify though. I wish they were less expensive but I keep buying their cases over and over again. Expensive but always cute, durable and reliable. Great customer service also!

Casetify is good for day to day use if you commute and work at an office or if you work from home even the high impact cases. OtterBox would survive outdoor or labor intensive work/active lifestyle.

Jesus we got it! Show the cases already. Gotdam.

Who the heck changes their case on a regular basis? I prefer the Otterbox Defender. I buy it once, install it once, and it last 5 years until I buy a new phone. Yep, 5 years minimum between phone upgrades for me. BTW, the rubberized edges of the Defender cause you to drop it less. Also, you never get water in the charging/data port due to the port cover. I don't care about artsy designs, though my wife does. She's gone through multiple screen protectors, I've never had to change mine from the one I put on the phone at purchase time. Also, Otterbox warranty is 7 years, Casetify is 6 months. Hmmm.

a rugged shield is a good option it's like $8 and looks ok casetify cases look super feminine. A bunch of girly designs like stickers that you choose. it's also hella expensive but they just look girly and cheap. Anyway, your case def looks yellow on the corners
  • @kal-px7qd
The most boring and long view of any case, just had to stop
  • I don’t care for otterboxes. They heat up my phone and turn my cases yellow

Bro you don’t sound biased at all 🙄🙄🙄
