Therewolf Media - "For the World's Future" | L Lawliet VS Kyoko Kirigiri

Hey all! Commissioner here. I already made a "Commissioners Comment" before this but i figured i would make another one since that one (might) be blocked because it contains a link. Regardless, Kyoko and L are two of my favourite characters of all time, and therefore this matchup is one of my favourites of all time. It is also the first ever death note commission, which surprised me but i will take it. The Name "For the World's Future" has a few meanings behind it. Firstly, it represents L and Kyoko’s goals, hoping to stop great evils in the world so the future generations can be safe. Kyoko is also a part of the future foundation, hence the “future” part of the track name. L’s spin off novel is also called “L save the world” which further makes the track name more poetic. The Fight Potential is pretty fun. L in the L: Save the World novel is seen as a threat due to being unable to be controlled by the government. So, the fight would be Kyoko, as the head of her region of Future Foundation, would be tasked with finding L. The two can have back and forths, having giga brain moments one upping the other. The ending would involve Kyoko and L meeting face to face - with either Kyoko backing L into a corner and catching him despite his best efforts, or L escaping in a similar way he escapes a terrorist group in the novels - getting away right under their nose. You can argue that there can be an ending where Kyoko lets L go on purpose, learning he isn’t a threat but having L win just because Kyoko lets him is a bit lame tbh - as cool as it could be in concept Anyways, enjoy the track!

I made a happy little squeak when I realized this was a Kyoko match-up. always nice to get Danganronpa match-ups that aren't just Junko/Monokuma again.

I really like how the THH research OST is implemented Betting on L, although I wouldn't mind if the best DanganGirl wins

Boomstick: But unlike Batman, these 2 don't need fancy gadgets & super high tech to get the job done. Wiz: Right. Because sometimes all a great detective needs besides clever thinking is some good old fashioned intuition & deduction. Boomstick: He's Wiz & I'm Boomstick. Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor & skills to find out who will win a Death Battle!

Ever since Liam made a point to tease Light vs Columbo, it seems that “intelligence” based matchups seem to really taken off. And this is certainly a great contribution; L’s theme as the overture mixed in with Danganronpa’s more upbeat soundtrack goes unfathomably hard, and has some great escalation in spite of being a more grounded fight. Excellent work as always!

Not TOO too familiar with either, but I love EVERYTHING about this! L's theme meshes surprisingly well with the funky Danganropa music, and there are SO many parts that jus give me "high-stakes chess match to decide who gets to save the world" which is probably more to pin on the former, but still, gotta love intelligence-based MUs and even the art of Kyoko turning AWAY from L's logo on the screen... just chills. Another fantastic work

A battle of wits, cunning, and deductions.

This is one battle of the minds I would pay money to see. L is my favorite death note character, due in part to the likely possibility that he has Autism. Seeing him square off against Kyoko, who is one of my favorite Danganronpa characters in a battle of wits would be a real sight.

I was taken the most aback by a Kyoko and Death Note commission at the same time, but it’s phenomenal. Really adore the instrumentals incorporating trumpets and guitar to replicate Danganronpa and Danganronpa’s motifs while really giving it the feel of a detective duel. My thanks to Therewolf and the commissioner.

WOAH! A Death Note Track? I was definitely not expecting this, but I ain't complaining, Death Note is amazing, featuring one of my favorite characters from the show?

Very, Very interesting. Due to both Danganronpa and Death Note having great soundtracks to work with it's no shocker this is a great track. What's more interesting is who would win, this is such a super close like the closet match I've though about for a long while. If I had to pick one I'd say Kyoko, only because I believe she seems to be more dedicated to a case unlike L who only is interested if it's something new. L has more expeirence though so I can't say for sure he wouldn't have a way around Kyoko's usual startegies to break people, since L is very, very calm. But as we see with Rem and when L got the Death Note, he can freak out, A opening Kyoko uses to trap people. Also, if I'm not mistaken in Kyoko's novel (A book most people don't seem to know exists) she does this one thing where just by looking at someone could determine absolutley everything that happend to them on Christmas, I don't have the book on me so I can't say for sure but I believe I remeber that. Overall, Kyoko is a character I like a lot and L is pretty cool as well. so this would be a very cool match-up and unique.

Not only is that thumbnail great, but this track is amazing. I love the futuristic vibe to it, along with L's theme & Danganronpa music. Overall, I would give it a 9.3/10

My god, it's wonderful, how haven't I heard of this before?
