Thank you for the insight, always great content on your channel. Starting my channel was the hardest by far, but I still remember my first proper YouTube 'paycheck'. There was a lot of emotions and I was so proud of myself. If it wasn't for my hard work and consistency (and a little bit of Famester), I wouldn't have made anything.

I used YouTube Shorts to blow my channel up. Took me 5 months to reach 100k subscribers. I just got my checkmark and the silver play button is on its way to my house. I posted 4 shorts per week the first 3 months and then went to 2 per week. Now, I'm planning on adding in some long form content to boost the income. My first month being monetized I made over 2k. Keep at it!

I am 65 and I've been doing my channel about 9 months. I am at 3,200 hours and 503 subscribers. Making steady progress and having a blast!

I started a YouTube channel a very long time ago, and didn’t understand the analytics of it all. It took me a while… But I finally did get monetized. I got my subscribers first before the hours. I have started a second channel, and trying to get that monetized. I thought would be easier, but it’s not been any easier. I just keep plugging along and enjoying the process. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Added 2 videos since but really enjoying learning (from scratch) the editing side of things. Just purchased a gimbal to help with recording content.
