Well done my friend, your video is the only one ive seen that was actually accurate and applies to all circumstances, good job
  • the most very clear video about how to disable bitlocker
  • The command prompt or powershell method ran in Administrator privilege worked well. For context, my Windows 11 OS laptop doesn't have any options to disable BitLocker through user interface. So I ran the manage-bde -off C:, which C: is the only drive I have and that I want to disable. It worked great, but remember to run manage-bde -status to check if the Percentage Encrypted: is at 0% which means it has finished decrypting because Command Line doesn't show decryption progress and will happily accept another command input

Important note: make sure you don't stop bitlocker service in way 3 as this prevents bitlocker from updating it status. This is important while doing a fresh install in your primary drive to get a non encrypted tag
  • The only method that worked for me was the fifth but in one of my disk I get the following message: ERROR: This volume stores external key(s) that can automatically unlock other volumes. Before you can decrypt this volume, you must remove such keys. How do I solve this?
