Disney and Pixar's InsideOut2 is coming to theaters June 2024 with brand new emotions!

The little voices inside Rileyā€™s head know her inside and outā€”but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixarā€™s ā€œInside Out 2ā€ introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. ā€œAnxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but sheā€™s not really the type to take a back seat,ā€ said Mann. ā€œThat makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.ā€ A trailer, poster and film stills are now available for what promises to be the feel-good (or feel-everything) film of Summer 2024.

Disney and Pixarā€™s ā€œInside Out 2ā€ returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, whoā€™ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, arenā€™t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like sheā€™s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, ā€œInside Out 2ā€ releases only in theaters Summer 2024.

  • Hm, i wonder if weā€™ll get another Trailer? Anyway, Iā€™ll say this Trailer sure did gave us a pretty good idea of what we could expect from this Movie, So, they decided to go with the ā€œNew Emotions trying to take over for all of the Old Emotionsā€ Route, sort of? I am pretty certain that some people have theorized about that being the case, at some point. Anyway, I am also pretty certain that this Plot could be viewed as being pretty much similar to the Plot of the First Movie, at least on a surface level, but Iā€™d say the finer details beneath have enough differences to make it worthwhile, Like for example: Rather than just having two Emotions having to go on an adventure throughout Rileyā€™s mind, we now have all Five of the Original Emotions having to go on a journey, two of which who already have experience in going outside, while the other Three probably doesnā€™t, a fact that could potentially lead into some pretty interesting and funny experiences and interactions on itā€™s own. Also, the reason why the Emotions even were in the situation that they ended up in in the First Movie was entirely due to a freak accident, while here itā€™s due to the New more inexperienced Emotions trying take over by pretty much overthrowing the Old Emotions, bottling them up somewhere. On top of that, in the First Movie we just had the original core Emotions getting split up, with two out in the World and three remaining at the Brain-Center, now we have entirely New Emotions trying to run the Center by themselves, where we could see how well that goes and whether or not theyā€™ll realize that theyā€™ve made a great mistake, Although, I say the New Emotions and they, but wouldnā€™t it be funny if Ennui was the only one out of New Emotions who figured(/knew) that kicking out the Old more experienced Emotions might be a bad idea, but didnā€™t say anything due to how unmotivated they seem to be? Heck, even the motivations and the reasoning behind said motivations Iā€™d say is a bit different from the First Movie too, In the First Film, the Emotions at the Brain-Center pretty much just tried to run things by themselves because they didnā€™t know what else to do and the Emotions outside just wanted to go back because they just naturally felt like they needed to, While in this Second Film on the other hand, the Emotions at the Brain-Center tries to run things by themselves because they think they know how to handle a Teenage Riley better and the Emotions outside wants to go back, pretty much for same reasons as in the First Film, but with an added bonus, ā€˜Cause I think the New Emotions might not know everything that happened before their arrival, so they wouldnā€™t know that something similar to what theyā€™ve done has happened before, But the Old Emotions knows, they have experienced just how bad things can go when Riley doesnā€™t have all of her Emotions present and working together, so they will not try to get back just because they feel like they have to, but also because they know what could happen if they donā€™t. So, all in all, while the Plot is pretty simple, Iā€™ve heard that even a pretty Simple Plot, that might even redo something similar to itā€™s predecessor, can still turn out quite good, as long as itā€™s been done well enough, I hope this Movie still does good despite it all. Now, the only Question left is, how will everything be lined up in this Movie? When will every moment happen and in what order will it happen? What do you think?
