Dr Sharon Melnick is a corporate psychologist who specialises in personal agency and her work is on the back of 10 years of research at Harvard Medical School.
There is a big difference between being "in power" and being "in your power". Claiming your personal agency is about being in control of the things that are in your control. To have the right temperament and as a leader to set the tone in the room. The goal of personal agency is to shift from being the thermometer to being the thermostat. Personal agency to not allow others to dictate your mood and demeanour.
