In this video, I talk about the main ways to play emulation on the go -- on a cellphone (with or without a wireless controler), on a modded PSP, on original hardware with a flashcart, and on a Chinese emulation device such as the GPD XD

  • I will tell you the fatboy PSP was a lifesaver during my time in the military. Having access to thousands of games and being able to carry it around with me everywhere was absolutely amazing. I killed off SO many RPGs! I'm not sure if power banks existed back then, or if I just didn't know about them.... but having one of those is the only other thing that would have made it that much more perfect. These days I alternate between my phone, tablet, and PSP GO. Great video brother.

You know the PSP is overengineered when you realise that it could emulate it's competition (the Nintendo DS)

I remember I used to have an Xperia Play, and it was just the perfect portable emulation machine. It was basically a PSP Go (Perfect emulation up to PS1 and amazing physical controls) mixed with a decent Android phone and great battery life. I wish they would release a new version of it, I'd pay flagship money for it!

The Xperia Play is probably one of the most underrated portable emulation devices out there. $50 on ebay, and it'll emulate anything up to the PS1 very well. Even some PSP games are playable if you don't mind frame skip. I really wish they'd make a successor to it with top of the line specs.

I really wish you talked about battery life... That is super important in a portable, and something I would highly consider when buying one of these.

The psp go is my emulation station, i carry it around me to work, to college and to friends, and when i'm home i plug it straight to the tv in combination with a ps3 controller

Finally I’ve been looking for a video on this subject for ages!
  • PSP is my favorite handheld device for emulation. Its so impressive and having ps1 library you can take with you beats that ps classic lol. A cable lets you hook it to a TV with later models. I LOOOVE the PSP :)
  • @Spongegoose
I first discovered this on my PSP. It was insane, the ability to play these games on the go.

Loved the new intro. I've moved back into retro gaming recently, collecting carts from when I was a kid, but I'm definitely gunna add emulation now for portability. Thanks!

Subscribed right away!!!! Am a lover and huge fan of emulations since ages and my all time wish is to play any game from any console into one device 🤩

I love emulating on my phone with a bluetooth gamepad, I have the iPega9052 and I always play SNES, GBA, NDS and PS1 games perfectly fine. Plus, since my phone has HDMI output, sometimes I connect it to the TV and play these emulators on the big screen. Thanks for sharing this video!

I’m liking my Ps vita for emulation! I’m running homebrew and I’m very happy with it!

Psp 3000 is my favorite psp because it is more comfortable to hold/play, it has higher amount of expandable memory (i wouldnt go above 64gb), and you get a bigger battery. You can also play umds and back them up vs the go.
  • @DrIEviL
I just got a new PSP Go on eBay. yeah it's a little pricey but I love it and as you mentioned it's the best option and easy to emulate ❤
